सिरमौर जिले के राजगढ़ स्थित सिविल अस्पताल में आज सुबह एक दिल दहला देने वाली घटना सामने आई है, जिसने पूरे क्षेत्र में सनसनी फैला दी। अस्पताल के एक शौचालय में नवजात शिशु का शव मिलने से मानवता शर्मसार हुई है। पुलिस ने इस संबंध में मामला दर्ज कर गहन छानबीन शुरू कर दी है। प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार, सुबह करीब 8:30 बजे जब एक सफाई कर्मचारी रोजाना की तरह टॉयलेट की सफाई करने पहुंचा, तो उसने टॉयलेट सीट के भीतर कुछ फंसा हुआ देखा। गौर से देखने पर पता चला कि वह एक नवजात शिशु का शव था। इस खौफनाक मंजर को देखकर कर्मचारी के होश उड़ गए, जिसके बाद तुरंत अस्पताल प्रशासन और पुलिस को सूचित किया गया। घटना की सूचना मिलते ही राजगढ़ थाना प्रभारी अपनी टीम के साथ मौके पर पहुंचीं और घटनास्थल का जायजा लिया। बीएमओ (BMO) राजगढ़, डॉ. उपासना शर्मा ने मामले की पुष्टि करते हुए बताया कि सुबह टॉयलेट में करीब 20 से 22 हफ्तों का एक भ्रूण/शिशु मृत अवस्था में मिला है। अस्पताल प्रशासन पूरी तरह सतर्क है और पुलिस को हर संभव सहयोग दिया जा रहा है।

डीएसपी राजगढ़, विद्या चंद नेगी ने मामले की पुस्टि करते हुए बताया कि पुलिस ने शव को कब्जे में ले लिया है। प्रारंभिक जांच में यह 4 से 5 महीने का नर (Male) भ्रूण/शिशु पाया गया है। मामले की गहराई से जांच के लिए डीएनए सैंपल ले लिया गया है। पुलिस अब सीसीटीवी फुटेज और अस्पताल के ओपीडी/आईपीडी रिकॉर्ड के जरिए उस व्यक्ति तक पहुंचने की कोशिश कर रही है जिसने इस अमानवीय कृत्य को अंजाम दिया। यह घटना न केवल एक कानूनी जुर्म है, बल्कि समाज की संवेदनहीनता पर भी गहरे सवाल खड़े करती है। आखिर किन परिस्थितियों में किसी ने एक मासूम को इस तरह लावारिस छोड़ दिया, यह अब पुलिस की जांच का मुख्य विषय है।

A heart-wrenching incident unfolded this morning at the Civil Hospital in Rajgarh, Sirmour district, sending shockwaves across the entire region. Humanity has been left ashamed following the discovery of a newborn infant’s body inside one of the hospital’s restrooms. The police have registered a case in this regard and have initiated a thorough investigation. According to reports, the incident came to light around 8:30 AM when a sanitation worker arrived to clean the restrooms as part of their daily routine. The worker noticed something lodged inside a toilet bowl. Upon closer inspection, it was revealed to be the body of a newborn infant. Stunned by this horrific sight, the worker immediately alerted the hospital administration and the police. Upon receiving information about the incident, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Rajgarh Police Station arrived at the scene with their team to inspect the site. Confirming the matter, the Block Medical Officer (BMO) of Rajgarh, Dr. Upasana Sharma, stated that the body of a fetus/infant—estimated to be between 20 and 22 weeks old—was found dead inside the restroom this morning. The hospital administration remains fully vigilant and is extending every possible cooperation to the police.

DSP Rajgarh, Vidya Chand Negi, also confirmed the incident, stating that the police have taken custody of the body. Preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased is a male fetus/infant, estimated to be between 4 and 5 months old. DNA samples have been collected to facilitate a deeper investigation into the case. The police are now analyzing CCTV footage and examining the hospital’s OPD (Outpatient Department) and IPD (Inpatient Department) records in an effort to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for this inhumane act. This incident constitutes not only a legal crime but also raises profound questions regarding the insensitivity prevailing within society. The central focus of the ongoing police investigation is now to determine the circumstances under which someone could abandon an innocent life in such a callous manner.
