सिरमौर के सुदूर क्षेत्र में स्थित राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय बकरास में एक दिवसीय जागरूकता शिविर का सफल आयोजन किया गया। यह शिविर हिमजनमंच और हिमाचल ज्ञान-विज्ञान समिति के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में आयोजित किया गया। कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत में प्रातःकालीन सभा के दौरान कपिल शंक्वाण ने बेहतरीन मंच संचालन करते हुए हिमजनमंच के अध्यक्ष कंवर सिंह नेगी को संबोधित करने के लिए आमंत्रित किया। विद्यार्थियों को संबोधित करते हुए हिमजनमंच के अध्यक्ष के.एस. नेगी ने पर्यावरण संरक्षण पर विशेष जोर दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि आज के समय में अवैध वन कटान और अवैध खनन को रोकने के लिए व्यापक जन चेतना की बेहद आवश्यकता है। उन्होंने समाज के विभिन्न वर्गों से अपील करते हुए कहा कि इस पुनीत कार्य में पंचायत प्रतिनिधि, एसएमसी (SMC) और महिला मंडल को बढ़-चढ़कर अपना सहयोग देना चाहिए। जागरूकता शिविर के दौरान स्कूली छात्रों के लिए कई प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन भी किया गया, जिसमें बच्चों ने पूरे उत्साह के साथ भाग लिया। नारा लेखन प्रतियोगिता में मानवी ठाकुर ने प्रथम, यश ने द्वितीय तथा नितेश ने तृतीय स्थान प्राप्त किया। वहीं चित्रकला (ड्राइंग) प्रतियोगिता में दिव्यांशु प्रथम, अर्चना द्वितीय तथा राहुल तृतीय स्थान पर रहे। भाषण प्रतियोगिता में रीतिका ने प्रथम, आदेश कुमार ने द्वितीय तथा नेहा ने तृतीय स्थान हासिल किया। कार्यक्रम के अंत में विद्यालय के प्रधानाचार्य विवेक रैना ने सभी प्रतिभागी और विजेता छात्रों को हिमजनमंच की तरफ से पुरस्कार और इनाम बांटे। इस विशेष अवसर पर महिला मंडल, एसएमसी (SMC) सदस्य तथा समाज सेवी प्रीती नंबरदार भी मुख्य रूप से उपस्थित रहीं। हिमजनमंच के अध्यक्ष के.एस. नेगी ने एक और बड़ी जानकारी साझा की। उन्होंने बताया कि आगामी 26 जून, 2026 को “ड्रग्स व चिट्टा मुक्ति दिवस” के अवसर पर एक भव्य जिला स्तरीय कार्यक्रम किया जाना प्रस्तावित है।

A one-day awareness camp was successfully organized at Government Senior Secondary School, Bakras, located in a remote area of ​​Sirmaur. The camp was held under the joint aegis of Himjanmanch and the Himachal Gyan-Vigyan Samiti. At the start of the program, during the morning assembly, Kapil Shankwan—who anchored the event excellently—invited Himjanmanch President Kanwar Singh Negi to address the gathering. Addressing the students, Himjanmanch President K.S. Negi placed special emphasis on environmental conservation.
