राजकीय प्राथमिक शिक्षक संघ सिरमौर ने डाइट नाहन में प्रारंभिक शिक्षा उपनिदेशक राजीव ठाकुर के साथ शिक्षकों की समस्याओं और मांगों पर मंथन किया। डाइट नाहन में हुई बैठक के दौरान प्राथमिक शिक्षक संघ के पदाधिकारियों ने उपनिदेशक को अपनी समस्याओं और मांगों से अवगत करवाया। इस मौके पर संघ के पदाधिकारियों ने उपनिदेशक को 20 सूत्री मांग पत्र भी सौंपा। इनमें प्राथमिक पाठशाला के प्रशासनिक ढांचे के साथ छेड़छाड़ न करने, प्राथमिक स्कूलों में हिंदी या अंग्रेजी माध्यम में से किसी एक में शिक्षा दिलवाने, हायर ग्रेड पे देने समेत कलस्टर से बाहर प्रतिनियुक्ति न करने की मांग शामिल रही। इसके अलावा संघ ने अंडर-12 खेलकूद प्रतियोगिता को बहाल करने, विद्यालय में बिजली बिलों का भुगतान खंड प्रारंभिक कार्यालय से करने, जेबीटी व पीईटी की पदोन्नति करवाने, सेवानिवृत्त कर्मचारियों जिनके पेंशन केस नहीं सुलझे हैं उनका समाधान करवाने की भी मांग की। इसके अलावा कई अन्य मांगें भी शामिल रहीं।

The Government Primary Teachers’ Union, Sirmaur, discussed the problems and demands of teachers with Rajiv Thakur, Deputy Director of Elementary Education, at DIET Nahan. During the meeting, the officials of the Primary Teachers’ Union apprised the Deputy Director of their problems and demands. On this occasion, the union officials also submitted a 20-point memorandum to the Deputy Director. These demands included not tampering with the administrative structure of primary schools, providing education in either Hindi or English medium in primary schools, granting higher grade pay, and not allowing deputations outside the cluster. Furthermore, the union demanded the resumption of under-12 sports competitions, payment of electricity bills through the Block Elementary Office, promotion of JBT and PET teachers, and resolution of pending pension cases for retired employees. Several other demands were also included.
