भीषण गर्मी का टॉर्चर: सिरमौर में तुरंत स्कूल बंद करने की उठी मांग, प्रशासन को दी दुहाई..

जिला सिरमौर में लगातार बढ़ रहे तापमान और भीषण गर्मी (Heat Wave) के प्रकोप को देखते हुए अब बच्चों के स्वास्थ्य को लेकर अभिभावकों की चिंताएं चरम पर पहुंच गई हैं। आसमान से बरसती आग और चिलचिलाती धूप के बीच त्रिलोकपुर, नाहन, पाँवटा साहिब और औद्योगिक क्षेत्र कालाअंब के कई अभिभावकों ने जिला प्रशासन और शिक्षा विभाग से स्कूली बच्चों की सुरक्षा के मद्देनजर एक बेहद जरूरी अपील की है। इन अभिभावकों का तर्क है कि जब आगामी 1 जून से प्रदेश के स्कूलों में वैसे भी गर्मियों की छुट्टियां घोषित होनी ही हैं, तो इस भीषण और जानलेवा गर्मी को देखते हुए प्रशासन को 5 या 6 दिन पहले ही तत्काल प्रभाव से स्कूलों में अवकाश घोषित कर देना चाहिए। इस गंभीर स्थिति पर त्रिलोकपुर के रहने वाले राकेश कुमार ने गहरी चिंता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि मई के इस आखिरी हफ्ते में गर्मी का सितम इस कदर बढ़ चुका है कि छोटे बच्चों का स्कूलों में बैठना मुहाल हो गया है। बढ़ते तापमान के कारण स्कूली बच्चों में डिहाइड्रेशन (पानी की कमी), हीट थकावट और लू (Heat Stroke) लगने का खतरा अत्यधिक बढ़ गया है। वहीं नाहन की रहने वाली सिमरन शर्मा का कहना है कि नाहन और आसपास के इलाकों में दोपहर होते-होते लू के थपेड़े बच्चों को बुरी तरह बीमार कर रहे हैं। उनका मानना है कि ऐसे दमघोंटू मौसम में दोपहर की तीखी धूप में भारी-भरकम बैग टांगकर घर वापस लौटते समय मासूमों की तबीयत बिगड़ने का डर लगातार बना हुआ है।

इसके अतिरिक्त, कालाअंब के रहने वाले अभिभावक विकास चौधरी ने प्रशासन का ध्यान इस ओर खींचा कि उनके औद्योगिक व मैदानी क्षेत्र में तपिश इतनी ज्यादा है कि केवल स्कूलों का समय बदलना अब नाकाफी साबित हो रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि बिजली कट और उमस के कारण कक्षाओं के भीतर भी बच्चे बेहाल हैं। वहीं पाँवटा साहिब के रहने वाले संदीप चौहान और स्थानीय निवासी मीनाक्षी पुंडीर ने संयुक्त रूप से कहा कि जब छुट्टियों में अब महज कुछ ही दिनों का समय बचा है, तो प्रशासन को संवेदनशीलता दिखानी चाहिए। इन 5-6 दिनों की ढील देकर बच्चों को इस भयानक तपन से बड़ी राहत दी जा सकती है। किसी बड़े हादसे या बच्चों के गंभीर रूप से बीमार होने का इंतजार करने के बजाय समय रहते फैसला लेना जरूरी है। इन सभी क्षेत्रों के रहने वाले अभिभावकों ने जिला प्रशासन से पुरजोर गुहार लगाई है कि जिले के सभी सरकारी, सरकारी सहायता प्राप्त और निजी स्कूलों में छोटे बच्चों के लिए समय से पहले ही गर्मियों की छुट्टियों का ऐलान कर दिया जाए। उनका कहना है कि इस समय बच्चों की पढ़ाई से ज्यादा उनका स्वास्थ्य महत्वपूर्ण है, इसलिए मासूम बच्चों को घरों के सुरक्षित माहौल में रखकर लू की चपेट में आने से बचाया जाना चाहिए

In view of the continuously rising temperatures and the severe heatwave gripping District Sirmaur, parental concerns regarding the health of their children have reached a critical level. Amidst the scorching heat and blazing sunshine, numerous parents from Trilokpur, Nahan, Paonta Sahib, and the industrial belt of Kala Amb have issued an urgent appeal to the District Administration and the Education Department, prioritizing the safety of school-going children. These parents argue that since summer vacations for schools across the state are already scheduled to begin on June 1st, the administration should—considering the current severe and life-threatening heat—declare a holiday in schools with immediate effect, five or six days ahead of schedule. Expressing deep concern over this grave situation, Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Trilokpur, stated that the severity of the heat during this final week of May has intensified to such an extent that it has become nearly impossible for young children to sit in their classrooms. Due to the rising temperatures, the risk of dehydration, heat exhaustion, and heatstroke among school children has increased significantly. Meanwhile, Simran Sharma, a resident of Nahan, noted that in Nahan and its surrounding areas, the blistering heat—which intensifies by the afternoon—is causing children to fall severely ill. She believes that in such stifling weather, there is a constant fear that the health of these innocent children could deteriorate as they make their way home in the sharp afternoon sun, burdened by heavy schoolbags.

Furthermore, Vikas Chaudhary, a parent residing in Kala Amb, drew the administration’s attention to the fact that the heat in his industrial and plains region is so intense that merely altering school timings is proving to be insufficient. He added that due to power outages and high humidity, children are suffering even while inside their classrooms. Meanwhile, Sandeep Chauhan, a resident of Paonta Sahib, and local resident Meenakshi Pundir jointly stated that with only a few days remaining until the scheduled holidays, the administration ought to demonstrate sensitivity. By granting a relaxation of these 5–6 days, children could be provided with significant relief from this scorching heat. Rather than waiting for a major mishap to occur or for children to fall seriously ill, it is imperative to take a decision in a timely manner. Parents residing in all these areas have earnestly appealed to the district administration to declare summer vacations ahead of schedule for young children across all government, government-aided, and private schools in the district. They argue that at this juncture, the children’s health takes precedence over their studies; therefore, these innocent children should be kept within the safe confines of their homes and protected from falling victim to heatstroke.
