जिला सिरमौर में नि:स्वार्थ भाव से मानवता की सेवा में जुटी प्रमुख रक्तदाता संस्था ‘Drops of Hope Society Sirmour’ ने मई महीने में सेवा की एक नई मिसाल कायम की है। सोसाइटी के सदस्यों की दिन-रात की कड़ी मेहनत से कुल 64 यूनिट रक्तदान दर्ज किया गया। टीम के आपसी तालमेल की बदौलत गंभीर और आपातकालीन स्थिति में अस्पतालों में भर्ती दर्जनों मरीजों को समय पर रक्त उपलब्ध करवाकर नई जिंदगी दी गई। यह मुहिम न केवल स्थानीय स्तर पर बल्कि हिमाचल से बाहर भी उतनी ही सक्रियता से चलाई गई।इस पूरे अभियान के तहत सबसे बड़ा योगदान डॉ. वाईएस परमार राजकीय मेडिकल कॉलेज एवं अस्पताल नाहन में रहा, जहाँ स्थानीय स्तर पर कुल 44 यूनिट्स रक्त की आपातकालीन मांग को पूरा किया गया। अस्पताल में मरीजों की ज़रूरत के अनुसार ‘Drops of Hope Society’ ने A पॉजिटिव की 11 यूनिट, O切 पॉजिटिव की 8 यूनिट, B पॉजिटिव की 14 यूनिट और AB पॉजिटिव की 3 यूनिट्स डोनेट की गईं। इसके साथ ही बेहद रेयर (दुर्लभ) माने जाने वाले नेगेटिव ब्लड ग्रुप्स की जरूरत को भी टीम ने तुरंत पूरा किया, जिसमें AB नेगेटिव की 1 यूनिट, O नेगेटिव की 1 यूनिट और B नेगेटिव की 3 यूनिट्स शामिल हैं।

स्थानीय स्तर पर मोर्चा संभालने के साथ-साथ सोसाइटी के जांबाज सदस्यों ने बाहरी राज्यों के बड़े अस्पतालों में भर्ती सिरमौर के मरीजों की पुकार पर भी तुरंत कदम बढ़ाए। इसी कड़ी में सोसाइटी के सक्रिय सदस्य सुनील वर्मा ने विशेष तौर पर फोर्टिस अस्पताल मोहाली जाकर गंभीर स्थिति में भर्ती एक मरीज के लिए ‘B पॉजिटिव’ रक्तदान किया, तो वहीं प्रवेश बंसल ने पीजीआई (PGI) चंडीगढ़ पहुंचकर ‘B पॉजिटिव’ ब्लड डोनेट कर अपनी सामाजिक जिम्मेदारी निभाई। पीजीआई चंडीगढ़, पंचकूला और मोहाली के विभिन्न अस्पतालों में उपचाराधीन मरीजों के लिए रक्त की कमी को सोसाइटी के अध्यक्ष सलमान खान ने खुद मोर्चा संभालते हुए आपातकाल में 3 यूनिट्स की व्यवस्था करवाकर पूरा कराया। इसी तरह, अखिल माहेश्वरी ने मोहाली और पंचकूला में सिरमौर के मरीजों के लिए 4 यूनिट्स रक्त की व्यवस्था करवाई। दूसरी ओर, शिमला के आईजीएमसी (IGMC) अस्पताल में उपचाराधीन मरीजों के लिए कपिल नेगी ने ‘B +” की 2 यूनिट, ‘O +’ की 6 यूनिट और पीजीआई में ‘AB +’ की 2 यूनिट्स का प्रबंध किया। वहीं, उत्तराखंड की राजधानी देहरादून के अस्पतालों में भर्ती जरूरतमंद मरीजों के लिए नदीम खान ने तत्परता दिखाते हुए 4 यूनिट्स रक्त की व्यवस्था सुनिश्चित की। ‘Drops of Hope Society Sirmour’ के प्रबंधन ने इस शानदार मानवीय कार्य पर खुशी जताते हुए कहा कि यह पूरी सेवा सभी सदस्यों की नि:स्वार्थ मेहनत और आपसी सहयोग से ही संभव हो पाई है।

In the Sirmour district, the ‘Drops of Hope Society Sirmour’—a leading blood donation organization dedicated to serving humanity with selfless devotion—has set a new benchmark for service during the month of May. Thanks to the tireless, round-the-clock efforts of the Society’s members, a total of 64 units of blood donation were recorded. Through the team’s exceptional coordination, dozens of patients admitted to hospitals in critical and emergency conditions were given a new lease on life by receiving timely access to blood. This initiative was carried out with equal vigor not only at the local level but also beyond the borders of Himachal Pradesh. The most significant contribution within this entire campaign was made at the Dr. Y.S. Parmar Government Medical College and Hospital, Nahan, where the emergency demand for a total of 44 units of blood was successfully met at the local level. Responding to the specific needs of patients at the hospital, the ‘Drops of Hope Society’ donated 11 units of A Positive, 8 units of O Positive, 14 units of B Positive, and 3 units of AB Positive blood. Furthermore, the team promptly fulfilled the requirements for negative blood groups—which are considered extremely rare—including 1 unit of AB Negative, 1 unit of O Negative, and 3 units of B Negative blood.

While holding the fort at the local level, the Society’s courageous members also immediately stepped forward in response to appeals from patients hailing from Sirmour who were admitted to major hospitals in other states. In this regard, Sunil Verma, an active member of the Society, made a special trip to Fortis Hospital, Mohali, to donate ‘B Positive’ blood for a critically ill patient; simultaneously, Pravesh Bansal fulfilled his social responsibility by traveling to PGI Chandigarh to donate ‘B Positive’ blood. Addressing the blood shortage faced by patients undergoing treatment at various hospitals across PGI Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali, the Society’s President, Salman Khan, personally took charge of the situation and successfully arranged for 3 units of blood during the emergency. Similarly, Akhil Maheshwari arranged for four units of blood for patients from Sirmour undergoing treatment in Mohali and Panchkula. Meanwhile, Kapil Negi arranged for two units of ‘B+’ and six units of ‘O+’ blood for patients undergoing treatment at Shimla’s IGMC Hospital, as well as two units of ‘AB+’ for patients at PGI. Furthermore, demonstrating promptness, Nadeem Khan ensured the arrangement of four units of blood for needy patients admitted to hospitals in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. Expressing their delight at this magnificent humanitarian endeavor, the management of the ‘Drops of Hope Society Sirmour’ stated that this entire service was made possible solely through the selfless hard work and mutual cooperation of all its members.
