मेडिकल स्टोर बना नशे का अड्डा: STF की बड़ी कार्रवाई, 10 हजार से ज्यादा प्रतिबंधित दवाएं जब्त……..

उत्तराखण्ड को नशामुक्त बनाने की दिशा में चल रहे अभियान के तहत Special Task Force Uttarakhand (एसटीएफ) को बड़ी सफलता हाथ लगी है। ऊधम सिंह नगर जिले के गदरपुर क्षेत्र में एक मेडिकल स्टोर की आड़ में चल रहे अवैध नशीली दवाओं के कारोबार का भंडाफोड़ करते हुए टीम ने भारी मात्रा में प्रतिबंधित दवाएं बरामद की हैं। वर्ष 2026 में अब तक की यह सबसे बड़ी बरामदगी मानी जा रही है।

एसएसपी एसटीएफ अजय सिंह के निर्देश पर अपर पुलिस अधीक्षक विवेक कुमार और पुलिस उपाधीक्षक आर.बी. चमोला के निर्देशन में 2 मार्च को एसटीएफ कुमाऊं यूनिट ने ड्रग इंस्पेक्टर व स्थानीय पुलिस के साथ संयुक्त छापेमारी की। कोतवाली गदरपुर क्षेत्र स्थित ‘कुमार मेडिकल हॉल’ पर की गई कार्रवाई में टीम ने 9,416 नशीले कैप्सूल, 1,300 अल्प्राजोलम टैबलेट और 51 बोतल कोडीन युक्त कफ सिरप बरामद किए।

एसएसपी एसटीएफ अजय सिंह ने आमजन से अपील करते हुए कहा कि नशा तस्करी की सूचना तुरंत पुलिस या एसटीएफ को दें। इसके लिए एसटीएफ के हेल्पलाइन नंबर 0135-2656202 और 9412029536 जारी किए गए हैं। उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि ‘ड्रग्स-फ्री देवभूमि’ अभियान के तहत आगे भी ऐसे सख्त अभियान जारी रहेंगे।

इस संयुक्त कार्रवाई में एसटीएफ कुमाऊं यूनिट, ड्रग विभाग और गदरपुर पुलिस की टीम शामिल रही। कार्रवाई के बाद क्षेत्र में हड़कंप की स्थिति है और अन्य मेडिकल स्टोर्स की भी जांच की संभावना जताई जा रही है।

Medical Store Turns Into Hub for Illegal Drugs: STF Seizes Over 10,000 Banned Medicines

In a major breakthrough under the ongoing campaign to make Uttarakhand drug-free, the Special Task Force Uttarakhand (STF) has uncovered a large-scale illegal drug racket operating under the guise of a medical store in the Gadarpur area of Udham Singh Nagar district. Officials described it as the biggest drug seizure in the state so far in 2026.

Acting on the directions of SSP STF Ajay Singh, a joint team led by Additional Superintendent of Police Vivek Kumar and Deputy Superintendent of Police R.B. Chamola conducted a raid on March 2. The STF Kumaon Unit, along with the Drug Inspector and local police, carried out the operation at ‘Kumar Medical Hall’ located in Kotwali Gadarpur area.

During the raid, the team recovered 9,416 intoxicating capsules, 1,300 Alprazolam tablets, and 51 bottles of codeine-based cough syrup in commercial quantities.

The medical store owner, Rajkumar (53), a resident of Ward No. 01, Gadarpur, was arrested on the spot. Since the seized medicines were found in commercial quantities, a case has been registered against him at Gadarpur Police Station under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act.

SSP STF Ajay Singh appealed to the public to stay away from drugs and immediately report any information related to drug trafficking to the police or STF. The STF has issued helpline numbers 0135-2656202 and 9412029536 for reporting such activities. He reaffirmed that strict actions will continue under the “Drugs-Free Devbhoomi” campaign.

The joint operation involved members of the STF Kumaon Unit, the Drug Department, and the Gadarpur police team. Following the raid, there has been significant unrest in the area, and further inspections of other medical stores are likely.
