मेडिकल कॉलेज एवं अस्पताल नाहन में नेत्र विभाग की ओर से विश्व दृष्टि दिवस मनाया गया। गायनी विभाग की एचओडी डॉ. अमोद कार्यक्रम में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में उपस्थित रहीं। वहीं कम्युनिटी मेडिसिन विभाग की एचओडी डॉ. रेणु चौहान और फिजियोलॉजी विभाग की एचओडी डॉ. अर्चना चौहान भी कार्यक्रम में मौजूद रहीं। नेत्र विभाग की एचओडी डॉ. शालू गुप्ता ने बताया कि प्रत्येक वर्ष अक्तूबर महीने के दूसरे वीरवार को विश्व दृष्टि दिवस मनाया जाता है। इस वर्ष अपनी आंखों से प्यार करें थीम पर यह दिवस मनाया गया। इस अवसर पर प्रशिक्षु चिकित्सकों और लोगों को आंखों की देखभाल तथा उन्हें सुरक्षित रखने के उपायों के बारे में जानकारी दी गई। उन्होंने कहा कि मोबाइल और टीवी स्क्रीन का उपयोग जितना हो सके कम करें तथा समय-समय पर अपनी आंखों की जांच करवाते रहें, ताकि किसी भी बीमारी का पता शुरुआती अवस्था में ही लगाया जा सके। नेत्र विभाग की डॉ. सीमा नेगी और डॉ. प्रभलीन ने भी आंखों के महत्व और उनकी देखभाल के तरीकों के बारे में विस्तार से जानकारी दी।

World Sight Day was celebrated by the Ophthalmology Department at the Medical College and Hospital, Nahan. Dr. Amod, HOD of the Gynecology Department, was the chief guest. Dr. Renu Chauhan, HOD of the Community Medicine Department, and Dr. Archana Chauhan, HOD of the Physiology Department, were also present. Dr. Shalu Gupta, HOD of the Ophthalmology Department, stated that World Sight Day is celebrated every year on the second Thursday of October. This year, the day was celebrated under the theme “Love Your Eyes.” On this occasion, trainee doctors and the public were given information about eye care and how to protect them. She advised them to limit their use of mobile phones and TV screens as much as possible and to have their eyes checked regularly so that any disease can be detected at an early stage. Dr. Seema Negi and Dr. Prabhleen of the Ophthalmology Department also provided detailed information about the importance of eyes and how to care for them.
