चाइल्ड हेल्पलाइन सिरमौर की ओर से राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय, रामपुर भारापुर (धौलाकुआं ब्लॉक) में एक दिवसीय जागरूकता शिविर का आयोजन किया गया। शिविर का मुख्य उद्देश्य बच्चों को चाइल्ड हेल्पलाइन नंबर 1098, उनके अधिकारों एवं बच्चों से जुड़े कानूनों के बारे में विस्तृत जानकारी देना रहा। शिविर की शुरुआत में चाइल्ड हेल्पलाइन के सुपरवाइजर सुरेश पाल ने कार्यवाहक प्रधानाचार्या अर्चना गुप्ता और बच्चों का स्वागत किया। इसके बाद उन्होंने बच्चों को उनके अधिकारों – जीवन का अधिकार, सुरक्षा का अधिकार, सहभागिता का अधिकार और विकास का अधिकार – के साथ-साथ उनके कर्तव्यों के बारे में जानकारी दी। उन्होंने बच्चों को यह भी समझाया कि 1098 हेल्पलाइन का दुरुपयोग न करें और केवल जरूरत पड़ने पर ही इसका इस्तेमाल करें।

शिविर में सरकार द्वारा जिला बाल संरक्षण इकाई सिरमौर के माध्यम से चल रही योजनाओं जैसे स्पॉन्सरशिप स्कीम, सुख शिक्षा योजना और सुख आश्रय योजना की जानकारी दी गई। इसके साथ ही बच्चों को मोबाइल फोन के प्रयोग और उससे होने वाले दुष्परिणामों के बारे में भी विस्तार से बताया गया। चाइल्ड हेल्पलाइन सिरमौर के केस वर्कर ने बच्चों को पोक्सो एक्ट, जे.जे.बी. एक्ट, बाल विवाह निषेध अधिनियम, बाल श्रम निषेध अधिनियम और आर.टी.ई. जैसे कानूनों की जानकारी दी। इसके अलावा बच्चों को अच्छे और बुरे स्पर्श के बारे में उदाहरण सहित समझाया गया। अंत में कार्यवाहक प्रधानाचार्या अर्चना गुप्ता ने विद्यालय परिवार की ओर से चाइल्ड हेल्पलाइन सिरमौर का आभार व्यक्त किया और कहा कि यह जानकारी बच्चों के लिए अत्यंत उपयोगी और मार्गदर्शक सिद्ध होगी। इस जागरूकता शिविर में 68 विद्यार्थियों और 15 शिक्षकों ने भाग लिया।

Child Helpline organized an awareness camp at Rampur Bharapur School

A one-day awareness camp was organized by Child Helpline Sirmaur in Government Senior Secondary School, Rampur Bharapur (Dhaula Kuan Block). The main objective of the camp was to give detailed information to the children about the child helpline number 1098, their rights and laws related to children. At the beginning of the camp, Child Helpline Supervisor Suresh Pal welcomed the acting Principal Archana Gupta and the children. After this, he informed the children about their rights – right to life, right to security, right to participation and right to development – as well as their duties. He also explained to the children not to misuse the 1098 helpline and use it only when needed.

In the camp, information was given about the schemes being run by the government through District Child Protection Unit Sirmaur, such as sponsorship scheme, Sukh Shiksha Yojana and Sukh Ashray Yojana. Along with this, children were also told in detail about the use of mobile phones and its ill effects. The case worker of Child Helpline Sirmaur informed the children about laws like POCSO Act, JJB Act, Child Marriage Prohibition Act, Child Labor Prohibition Act and RTE. Apart from this, children were explained about good and bad touch with examples. In the end, Acting Principal Archana Gupta expressed gratitude to Child Helpline Sirmaur on behalf of the school family and said that this information will prove to be very useful and guiding for the children. 68 students and 15 teachers participated in this awareness camp.
