हिमाचल प्रदेश के जनजातीय जिले किन्नौर की होनहार बेटी और अंतरराष्ट्रीय वॉलीबॉल खिलाड़ी आयुषी भंडारी ने एक बार फिर देवभूमि का नाम वैश्विक पटल पर चमकाया है। आयुषी का चयन आगामी अंतरराष्ट्रीय CAVA (सेंट्रल एशियन वॉलीबॉल एसोसिएशन) कप प्रतियोगिता के लिए भारतीय राष्ट्रीय महिला वॉलीबॉल टीम में हुआ है। यह प्रतिष्ठित अंतरराष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिता 22 से 29 मई तक नेपाल की राजधानी काठमांडू में आयोजित होने जा रही है। हाल ही में ओडिशा के भुवनेश्वर में आयोजित हुए राष्ट्रीय चयन ट्रायल के कड़े मुकाबले के बाद भारतीय टीम के मुख्य दस्ते में आयुषी ने अपनी जगह पक्की की है। किन्नौर जिले के कल्पा खंड के रल्ली (मेबर) गांव की रहने वाली आयुषी भंडारी के इस चयन से उनके गृह क्षेत्र सहित पूरे प्रदेश में जश्न का माहौल है। आयुषी राजेश भंडारी (पिता) और तारा भंडारी (माता) की पुत्री हैं। एक साधारण पृष्ठभूमि से निकलकर अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर अपनी पहचान बनाने वाली आयुषी की इस सफलता पर स्थानीय खेल प्रेमियों और ग्रामीणों ने उनके परिवार को मिठाई खिलाकर बधाई दी है। वर्तमान में राजस्थान पुलिस में सब-इंस्पेक्टर के पद पर कार्यरत आयुषी टीम में एक बेहतरीन अटैकर के रूप में अपनी सेवाएं देती हैं।

Ayushi Bhandari—a talented daughter of Himachal Pradesh’s tribal district of Kinnaur and an international volleyball player—has once again brought glory to the ‘Devbhoomi’ (Land of Gods) on the global stage. Ayushi has been selected for the Indian National Women’s Volleyball Team for the upcoming international CAVA (Central Asian Volleyball Association) Cup tournament. This prestigious international competition is scheduled to be held in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, from May 22 to May 29. Ayushi secured her spot in the core squad of the Indian team following rigorous national selection trials recently held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The selection of Ayushi Bhandari—a native of Ralli (Mebar) village in the Kalpa block of Kinnaur district—has sparked an atmosphere of celebration throughout the entire state, including her home region. Ayushi is the daughter of Rajesh Bhandari (father) and Tara Bhandari (mother). Local sports enthusiasts and villagers have congratulated her family by offering them sweets to celebrate this success, marking a remarkable journey from a humble background to establishing an identity at the international level

Currently serving as a Sub-Inspector in the Rajasthan Police, Ayushi contributes her skills to the team as an exceptional attacker.
