जिला सिरमौर में अवैध गतिविधियों के खिलाफ पुलिस की कार्रवाई लगातार जारी है। इसी क्रम में पुलिस थाना पुरुवाला व पुलिस चौकी राजबन की टीम ने संयुक्त कार्रवाई करते हुए जुआ खेलते दो व्यक्तियों को गिरफ्तार किया है। पुलिस से मिली जानकारी के अनुसार, गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर पुलिस टीम ने निहालगढ़ स्थित कोममेट-II फैक्टरी के समीप नाले के किनारे दबिश दी। इस दौरान दो व्यक्ति ताश के पत्तों पर पैसे लगाकर जुआ खेलते हुए रंगे हाथों पकड़े गए। आरोपियों की पहचान साने आलम पुत्र याकुब अली व मोहम्मद सलीम पुत्र मोहम्मद हनीफ, निवासी गणेषगंज, तहसील पूर्णपुर, जिला पीलीभीत (उत्तर प्रदेश) के रूप में हुई है। पुलिस ने मौके से 52 ताश के पत्ते और 960 रुपये नकद बरामद किए हैं। इस संबंध में आरोपियों के खिलाफ जुआ अधिनियम की धारा 13A-3-67 के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है। पुलिस ने बताया कि मामले की जांच जारी है और क्षेत्र में इस तरह की अवैध गतिविधियों पर आगे भी सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

Police operations against illegal activities in District Sirmaur are continuing unabated. In this ongoing effort, a joint team comprising personnel from the Puruwala Police Station and the Rajban Police Post has arrested two individuals found gambling. According to information received from the police, acting on a confidential tip-off, the police team conducted a raid along the banks of a stream near the Commet-II factory in Nihalgarh. During the raid, two individuals were caught red-handed gambling with playing cards for money. The accused have been identified as Sane Alam (son of Yakub Ali) and Mohammad Salim (son of Mohammad Hanif), both residents of Ganeshganj, Tehsil Puranpur, District Pilibhit (Uttar Pradesh). The police have recovered 52 playing cards and ₹960 in cash from the scene. In connection with this incident, a case has been registered against the accused under Section 13A-3-67 of the Gambling Act. The police stated that the investigation into the matter is ongoing and that strict action will continue to be taken against such illegal activities in the region.
