खड़काह से देवनल तक बनी सड़क पर पहली बार सरकारी बस का सफल ट्रायल किया गया, जिससे क्षेत्र के ग्रामीणों का वर्षों पुराना आजादी के बाद पहली बार गांव में बस आने का सपना अब साकार हो गया। इस ऐतिहासिक अवसर पर एसडीएम शिलाई जसपाल सिंह ने बस सेवा के लिए सुरक्षित सड़क का विधिवत शुभारंभ किया। यह सड़क वर्ष 2008-09 में शुरू हुई थी, जिसे नैनीधार, भोड़ खाड़ी, थुमबाड़ी होते हुए खड़काह से देवनल तक पूर्ण किया गया है । लंबे समय से ग्रामीण इस सड़क पर बस सेवा शुरू होने का इंतजार कर रहे थे, जो अब पूरा हो सकेगा। कार्यक्रम में एसडीएम शिलाई के साथ एक्सईएन और एसडीओ लोक निर्माण विभाग (पीडब्ल्यूडी ), पुलिस विभाग व एचआरटीसी के अधिकारी भी मौजूद रहे। इस दौरान देवनल गांव के लोगों ने सभी अधिकारियों और अतिथियों का गर्मजोशी से स्वागत करते हुए आभार जताया। इस मौके पर एम.आर. पाराशर, अजय चौहान, मदन शर्मा, धर्म सिंह फौजी, कुंदन लाला व बिलम सिंह सहित अन्य गणमान्य लोग भी उपस्थित रहे।

Shillai: First Bus Runs on Khadkah–Devnal Road: Successful Bus Trial Conducted; SDM Shillai Formally Inaugurates Service

Today marked the first successful trial run of a government bus on the newly constructed road connecting Khadkah to Devnal. With this event, the villagers of the region have finally seen their decades-old dream—to have a bus reach their village for the very first time since independence—come true. On this historic occasion, SDM Shillai, Jaspal Singh, formally inaugurated the road for bus operations, declaring it safe for service. Construction of this road project began in the year 2008-09 and has now been completed, connecting Khadkah to Devnal via Nainidhar, Bhod Khadi, and Thumbadi. Villagers had been eagerly awaiting the commencement of bus services on this route for a long time—a hope that has now finally been realized. Alongside the SDM of Shillai, the event was attended by the Executive Engineer (XEN) and Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of the Public Works Department (PWD), as well as officials from the Police Department and the HRTC. During the proceedings, the residents of Devnal village extended a warm welcome to all the officials and guests, expressing their deep gratitude. Prominent dignitaries present on the occasion included M.R. Parashar, Ajay Chauhan, Madan Sharma, Dharam Singh Fauji, Kundan Lala, and Bilam Singh, among others.
