पांवटा साहिब: शहर की सफाई व्यवस्था को बेहतर बनाने के लिए नगर परिषद पांवटा साहिब ने कड़ा फैसला लिया है। अब नगर परिषद द्वारा घरों और दुकानों से मिक्स (मिला-जुला) कूड़ा नहीं उठाया जाएगा। नगर परिषद द्वारा पहले से ही कूड़े को अलग-अलग श्रेणियों में एकत्र करने की व्यवस्था लागू की गई है, जिसमें गीला कूड़ा, सूखा कूड़ा, सैनिटरी वेस्ट तथा घरेलू हानिकारक कूड़ा अलग-अलग लिया जा रहा है। इसके लिए लगातार IEC (जागरूकता) अभियान भी चलाए गए हैं। इसके बावजूद कुछ लोग इस अभियान में सहयोग नहीं कर रहे हैं। इसको देखते हुए नगर परिषद ने अब सख्त रुख अपनाया है।

बार-बार जागरूक करने के बाद भी जो लोग खुले में कूड़ा फेंकते हुए या मिक्स कूड़ा देते हुए पाए जाएंगे, उनके खिलाफ नियमानुसार चालान किया जाएगा। नगर परिषद ने सभी शहरवासियों और दुकानदारों से अपील की है कि वे कूड़े को घर से ही अलग-अलग करके रखें और सफाई कर्मचारियों को उसी प्रकार दें, ताकि शहर की सफाई व्यवस्था को और बेहतर बनाया जा सके। यदि किसी के घर या दुकान के पास कूड़ा उठाने वाली गाड़ी नहीं आ रही है, तो वे 8219919862 पर अपनी शिकायत दर्ज करवा सकते हैं। नगर परिषद ने कहा कि शहर को स्वच्छ और सुंदर बनाए रखने के लिए आम जनता का सहयोग अत्यंत आवश्यक है।

Paonta Sahib: To improve the city’s sanitation system, the Municipal Council of Paonta Sahib has taken a firm decision. From now on, the Municipal Council will no longer collect mixed (unsorted) waste from homes and shops. The Council has already implemented a system for collecting waste in distinct categories—specifically separating wet waste, dry waste, sanitary waste, and hazardous household waste. Continuous IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) campaigns have also been conducted to promote this initiative. Despite these efforts, some individuals are failing to cooperate with the campaign. In light of this, the Municipal Council has now adopted a strict stance. Even after repeated awareness-raising efforts, anyone found dumping waste in the open or handing over mixed waste will be issued a fine in accordance with the regulations. The Municipal Council appeals to all residents and shopkeepers to segregate their waste at home and hand it over to sanitation workers in the appropriate manner, thereby helping to further enhance the city’s cleanliness.
