उपराष्ट्रपति का चुनाव आज: देर शाम तक होगा नतीजे का परिणाम घोषित…

उपराष्ट्रपति के लिए आज मतदान होगा देर शाम तक नतीजे भी सामने आ जाएंगे। देश को 50 दिन के बाद जगदीप धनखड़ की जगह नया उपराष्ट्रपति मिलेगा। 21 जुलाई को धनखड़ के अचानक इस्तीफा देने के चलते चुनाव हो रहा है। एनडीए ने महाराष्ट्र के राज्यपाल राधाकृष्णन और विपक्षी गठबंधन इंडिया ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के रिटायर्ड जस्टिस सुदर्शन रेड्डी को उम्मीदवार बनाया है। आंकड़ों में एनडीए को स्पष्ट बढ़त है, हालांकि संसद में विपक्ष की मजबूती से पिछले दो दशक से पहली बार मुकाबला करीबी हो सकता है।

Voting for the Vice President will be held today and the results will be out by late evening. The country will get a new Vice President in place of Jagdeep Dhankhar after 50 days. The election is being held due to Dhankhar’s sudden resignation on 21 July. NDA has nominated Maharashtra Governor Radhakrishnan and the opposition alliance India has nominated retired Supreme Court Justice Sudarshan Reddy. NDA has a clear lead in the figures, although due to the strength of the opposition in Parliament, the contest may be close for the first time in the last two decades.
