इसी दौरान पांवटा साहिब के गोंदपुर इलाके में आरोपी फरमान खान ने बीच सड़क पर पुलिस जवान का रास्ता रोका और उसके साथ बुरी तरह गाली-गलौज शुरू कर दी। बात यहीं नहीं रुकी, आरोपी ने जवान के साथ सरेआम मारपीट की और उसकी स्कूटी से उसका बैग भी छीनकर फरार हो गया। बीच सड़क पर खाकी वर्दी के साथ हुई इस बदसलूकी और गुंडागर्दी का वीडियो मौके पर मौजूद किसी शख्स ने अपने मोबाइल में रिकॉर्ड कर लिया था, जो बाद में सोशल मीडिया पर तेजी से वायरल हो गया। वीडियो सामने आते ही पुलिस महकमे में हड़कंप मच गया और सिरमौर पुलिस ने मुस्तैदी दिखाते हुए आरोपी फरमान खान को तुरंत दबोच लिया। मामले की पुष्टि करते हुए जिला सिरमौर के अतिरिक्त पुलिस अधीक्षक (ASP) योगेश रोल्टा ने बताया कि आरोपी को पुलिस रिमांड पूरा होने के बाद शनिवार को अदालत में पेश किया गया था, जहां से माननीय न्यायालय ने उसे 14 दिन के ज्यूडिशियल रिमांड पर सेंट्रल जेल नाहन भेजने के आदेश दिए हैं। पुलिस मामले की आगामी तफ्तीश में जुटी है।

The incident took place on June 3, when a police constable posted with the 6th Indian Reserve Battalion (IRBn) at Dhaula Kuan was heading home after taking extended leave.

While he was en route, in the Gondpur area of ​​Paonta Sahib, the accused Farman Khan blocked the constable’s path in the middle of the road and began hurling severe verbal abuse at him. The situation escalated further; the accused publicly assaulted the constable, snatched his bag from his scooter, and fled the scene. Confirming the details, Sirmaur Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Yogesh Rolta stated that the accused was produced in court on Saturday following the completion of his police remand, and the court ordered him to be sent to Nahan Central Jail for 14 days of judicial custody.
