हिमाचल में 26, 28 और 30 को अवकाश रहेगा। इन तीनों दिनों में प्रदेश के सभी सरकारी कार्यालय, बोर्ड, निगम, शैक्षणिक संस्थान और औद्योगिक प्रतिष्ठान पूरी तरह बंद रहेंगे। इतना ही नहीं, औद्योगिक विवाद अधिनियम के अंतर्गत आने वाले प्रतिष्ठान और संबंधित क्षेत्रों में स्थित दुकानें एवं वाणिज्यिक संस्थान भी इस आदेश के दायरे में आएंगे। खास बात यह है कि यह अवकाश केवल नियमित कर्मचारियों तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि दैनिक वेतनभोगी कर्मचारियों पर भी समान रूप से लागू होगा। दरअसल हिमाचल के ग्रामीण इलाकों में लोकतंत्र का उत्सव इस बार तीन अलग-अलग दिनों में अपने पूरे रंग में नजर आएगा. पंचायत स्तर पर जनप्रतिनिधियों के चयन के लिए 26, 28 और 30 मई को मतदान होगा, जहां मतदाता अपने अधिकार का प्रयोग कर स्थानीय नेतृत्व तय करेंगे। इस लोकतांत्रिक महापर्व को ध्यान में रखते हुए प्रदेश सरकार ने बड़ा फैसला लिया है। मुख्य सचिव की ओर से जारी अधिसूचना के मुताबिक, इन तीनों मतदान दिनों पर राज्य के कर्मचारियों को वेतन सहित अवकाश दिया जाएगा, ताकि अधिक से अधिक लोग मतदान में भाग ले सकें. प्रथम, द्वितीय और तृतीय चरण के मतदान के लिए पूरे हिमाचल प्रदेश में सवेतन अवकाश (Paid Holiday) घोषित किया है। सरकार ने इस अवकाश को नेगोशिएबल इंस्ट्रूमेंट्स एक्ट, 1881 की धारा 25 के तहत भी मान्यता दी है। हालांकि, इस पूरे कार्यक्रम में एक दिलचस्प अपवाद भी सामने आया है। जिला कुल्लू के विकास खंड नग्गर की ग्राम पंचायत करजन और सोयल और विकास खंड आनी की ग्राम पंचायत जबान और नामहोग में यह चुनाव कार्यक्रम लागू नहीं होगा। यानी इन क्षेत्रों में सामान्य गतिविधियां प्रभावित नहीं होंगी।

Holidays have been declared in Himachal on the 26th, 28th, and 30th. On these three days, all government offices, boards, corporations, educational institutions, and industrial establishments across the state will remain completely closed. Furthermore, establishments falling under the purview of the Industrial Disputes Act, as well as shops and commercial establishments located in the relevant areas, will also be covered by this order. A significant highlight is that this holiday is not limited solely to regular employees; it will apply equally to daily-wage earners as well. In fact, the festival of democracy in Himachal’s rural areas is set to unfold in full splendor across three separate days this time around. Voting for the selection of representatives at the Panchayat level will take place on May 26, 28, and 30, during which voters will exercise their franchise to determine local leadership. Keeping this grand democratic festival in mind, the state government has taken a major decision. According to a notification issued by the Chief Secretary, state employees will be granted a paid holiday on these three polling days to ensure maximum participation in the voting process. A paid holiday has been declared across the entire state of Himachal Pradesh for the first, second, and third phases of voting. The government has also accorded recognition to this holiday under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. However, an interesting exception has emerged within this entire schedule. This election schedule will not be applicable to the Karjan and Soyal Gram Panchayats (Village Councils) in the Naggar Development Block, nor to the Jaban and Namhog Gram Panchayats in the Ani Development Block of District Kullu. Consequently, normal activities in these specific areas will remain unaffected.
