जिला सिरमौर के नागरिक उपमंडल संगड़ाह की नौहराधार तहसील के देवा मानल गांव में गुरुवार को एक हृदयविदारक हादसा सामने आया, जहां खड्ड में डूबने से दो सगे भाइयों की मौत हो गई। जानकारी के अनुसार, दोनों भाई गांव के समीप जंगल में अपनी बकरियों व बैलों को चराने गए थे। इस दौरान खेलते समय 8 वर्षीय आयन का पैर फिसल गया और वह खड्ड में जा गिरा। छोटे भाई को डूबता देख 9 वर्षीय अभिनव ने बिना देर किए उसे बचाने के लिए पानी में छलांग लगा दी, लेकिन तेज बहाव के चलते दोनों बच्चे पानी में फंस गए और डूब गए। बताया जा रहा है कि बड़ा भाई बोलने और सुनने में असमर्थ था, जिसके कारण वह मदद के लिए आवाज नहीं लगा सका। जब तक उनके पिता मौके पर पहुंचे, तब तक दोनों बच्चे पानी के तेज बहाव की चपेट में आ चुके थे। स्थानीय लोगों की मदद से बच्चों को खड्ड से बाहर निकालकर संगड़ाह स्वास्थ्य उपकेंद्र ले जाया गया, जहां डॉक्टरों ने दोनों को मृत घोषित कर दिया। हाल ही में हुई बारिश के चलते क्षेत्र के नदी-नालों में जलस्तर बढ़ने से बहाव खतरनाक बना हुआ है। प्रशासन ने मामले की पुष्टि करते हुए शवों को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए राजगढ़ अस्पताल भेज दिया है। एसडीएम संगड़ाह सुनील कायथ ने परिजनों को राहत राशि देने के निर्देश जारी किए हैं और लोगों से उफनते नालों से दूर रहने की अपील की है। इस दर्दनाक घटना के बाद पूरे क्षेत्र में शोक की लहर दौड़ गई है।

A heart-wrenching tragedy unfolded on Thursday in Deva Manal village, located in the Nohradhar Tehsil of the Sangrah civil subdivision in Sirmour district, where two biological brothers lost their lives after drowning in a stream. According to reports, the two brothers had gone to the forest near their village to graze their goats and oxen. While playing during this outing, 8-year-old Ayan slipped and fell into the stream. Upon seeing his younger brother drowning, 9-year-old Abhinav immediately jumped into the water to save him; however, due to the strong current, both children became trapped in the water and drowned. It is reported that the elder brother was speech-and-hearing impaired, which prevented him from calling out for help. By the time their father arrived at the scene, both children had already been swept away by the stream’s swift current. With the assistance of local residents, the children were pulled out of the stream and taken to the Sangrah Health Sub-centre, where doctors pronounced both of them dead. Due to recent rainfall, water levels in the region’s rivers and streams have risen, making the currents dangerously strong. Confirming the incident, the administration has sent the bodies to Rajgarh Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Sangrah SDM Sunil Kayath has issued directives to provide financial relief to the bereaved family and has appealed to the public to stay away from swollen streams and water bodies. A wave of grief has swept across the entire region following this tragic incident.
