पांवटा साहिब – गुम्मा नेशनल हाईवे 707 पर जामली के समीप देर रात एक कार में अचानक आग लग गई। इस हादसे में उत्तरकाशी (उत्तराखंड) नंबर की एक स्विफ्ट कार पूरी तरह से जलकर राख हो गई है। गनीमत यह रही कि कार में सवार यात्रियों ने समय रहते बाहर निकलकर अपनी जान बचा ली। मिली जानकारी के अनुसार, यह घटना रात करीब 2:00 बजे की है। कार सवार उत्तरकाशी से महासू मंदिर चालदा (पशमी) में दर्शन करने के लिए जा रहे थे। जब कार जामली के पास पहुँची, तो अचानक कार के बोनट से धुआँ निकलने लगा।
चालक ने तत्परता दिखाते हुए कार को तुरंत रोका और उसमें सवार सभी लोग बाहर निकल आए। देखते ही देखते आग ने विकराल रूप धारण कर लिया और पूरी कार आग की लपटों में घिर गई। रात का समय होने के कारण जब तक मदद पहुँचती, तब तक कार पूरी तरह जल चुकी थी। प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, आग इतनी तेज़ थी कि कार का केवल ढांचा ही शेष बचा है। प्रारंभिक दृष्टि में आग लगने का कारण शॉर्ट सर्किट माना जा रहा है।

Paonta Sahib – Late at night, a car suddenly caught fire near Jamli on the Gumma-National Highway 707. In this incident, a Swift car bearing an Uttarkashi (Uttarakhand) registration number was completely reduced to ashes. Fortunately, the passengers inside the car managed to exit in time and save their lives. According to reports, the incident occurred around 2:00 AM. The occupants of the car were traveling from Uttarkashi to offer prayers at the Mahasu Temple in Chalda (Pashmi). As the car approached Jamli, smoke suddenly began billowing from the bonnet. Acting with promptness, the driver immediately brought the car to a halt, and everyone inside quickly disembarked. In a matter of moments, the fire intensified rapidly, and the entire vehicle became engulfed in flames. Due to the late hour, by the time assistance could arrive, the car had already been completely destroyed by the fire. According to eyewitnesses, the blaze was so intense that only the charred skeletal frame of the car remained. Preliminary assessments suggest that a short circuit is the likely cause of the fire.
