उद्योग, संसदीय कार्य एवं श्रम रोजगार मंत्री हर्षवर्धन चौहान ने आज शिलाई विधानसभा क्षेत्र के वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक पाठशाला कफोटा में विज्ञान प्रयोगशाला सहित जिला की 10 अन्य विज्ञान प्रयोगशालाओं का शुभारंभ किया। इस अवसर पर उद्योग मंत्री ने बताया की सीएसआर के माध्यम से प्रत्येक प्रयोगशाला पर 10-10 लाख रुपये खर्च किए गए है। इसके उपरांत उद्योग मंत्री ने विद्यार्थियों द्वारा लगाई गई विज्ञान व गणित विषय पर आधारित प्रदर्शनी का भी अवलोकन किया तथा छात्र-छात्राओं से संवाद भी किया। उन्होंने बताया की सभी विज्ञान प्रयोगशाला में एक-एक अध्यापक भी नियुक्त कर दिया गया है, ताकि विद्यार्थियों को गणित व विज्ञान का बेहतर ज्ञान प्राप्त हो सके। उन्होंने बताया को इन प्रयोगशालाओं में विभिन्न प्रकार के लगभग 250 से अधिक मॉडल स्थापित किए गए है जिससे बच्चों को इन विषयों में बेहतर ज्ञानवर्धन हो सकेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि इन विज्ञान प्रयोगशालाओं में कक्षा छः से दसवीं तक के विद्यार्थियों को विज्ञान तथा गणित विषय सम्बन्धी समस्याओं और नियमों, तर्कों व सूत्रों को बेहतर ढंग से समझाया जाएगा जिससे बच्चों की इन विषयों के प्रति रूचि भी बढेगी।
उन्होंने बताया कि प्रदेश सरकार विद्यार्थियों को बेहतर शिक्षा प्रदान करने के लिए लगातार प्रयास कर रही है। इस कड़ी मेें वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक पाठशाला कफोटा को सीबीएसई घोषित किया गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि सीबीएससी प्रणाली लागू होने से सरकारी स्कूलों में छात्रों की संख्या में भी वृद्धि हुई है। उन्होंने कहा कि उनके द्वारा शिलाई विस क्षेत्र के 20 स्कूलों में 2500 से अधिक डेस्क बच्चों को बैठने के लिए उपलब्ध करवाए.गए है ताकि सरकारी स्कूलों की मूलभूत आवश्यकताओं की पूर्ति के साथ-साथ शिक्षा के स्तर में सुधार व विद्यार्थियों में आत्म विश्वास पैदा हो सके। उन्होंने कहा कि सभी सरकारी स्कूलों में आधारभूत सुविधाएं जैसे कमरे, प्रयोगशाला, भवन, खेल मैदान इत्यादि उपलब्ध करवाने के लिए प्रदेश सरकार लगातार प्रयास कर रही है, जिसके परिणाम स्वरूप जिला सिरमौर के बच्चे विभिन्न स्तरीय प्रतियोगिताओं में बढ़-चढ़ कर अपना प्रदर्शन कर रहे है। हाल ही मे टीजीटी आटर्स की हुई परीक्षा में 425 पदों में से 102 पदों पर सिरमौर जिला के अभ्यार्थियों का चयन हुआ है। कार्यक्रम के दौरान स्कूली छात्र-छात्राओं द्वारा आकर्षक व मनोरंजक सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किए गए। इस अवसर पर नेस्ले जिज्ञासा परियोजना की प्रबन्धक मीनाक्षी, जयदीप, अगस्त्य इंटरनेशनल फाउंडेशन के क्षेत्रीय प्रबंधक रमेश कुमार तथा उप निदेशक उच्च शिक्षा विजय राघव व प्रधानाचार्य कफोटा इंद्र मोहन ने मुख्य अतिथि को शाल व टोपी भेंट कर सम्मानित किया। इस अवसर पर एसडीएम कफोटा रमन कुमार शर्मा, बीडीओ तिलोरधार राजेश नेगी, एपीएमसी अध्यक्ष सीता राम शर्मा, मण्डल अध्यक्ष कांग्रेस कमेटी शिलाई कल्याण धामटा, सदस्य जिला परिषद सतौन खत्री सिंह ठाकुर सहित अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्ति उपस्थित रहे।

Shillai: Science laboratory inaugurated at Kafota; Harshwardhan Chauhan says science and mathematics education will get a new direction.

Industries, Parliamentary Affairs, and Labour & Employment Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan inaugurated a science laboratory at the Senior Secondary School in Kafota, Shillai Assembly constituency, along with 10 other science laboratories across the district. On this occasion, the Industries Minister stated that ₹10 lakh had been spent on each laboratory through CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) funds. Subsequently, he viewed an exhibition on science and mathematics organized by the students and interacted with them. He mentioned that a teacher has been appointed for each of these science laboratories to ensure students gain a better understanding of mathematics and science. He noted that over 250 different types of models have been installed in these laboratories, which will help enhance the children’s knowledge of these subjects. He stated that in these laboratories, students from classes 6 to 10 will be taught concepts, rules, logic, and formulas related to science and mathematics more effectively, thereby fostering their interest in these subjects. He mentioned that the state government is making continuous efforts to provide quality education to students. As part of this initiative, the Senior Secondary School at Kafota has been transitioned to the CBSE system. He added that the implementation of the CBSE system has led to an increase in student enrollment in government schools. He stated that he has provided over 2,500 desks for students across 20 schools in the Shillai constituency to meet the basic needs of government schools, improve educational standards, and boost student confidence. He emphasized that the state government is continuously striving to provide basic amenities—such as classrooms, laboratories, buildings, and playgrounds—in all government schools; as a result, children from Sirmaur district are performing exceptionally well in competitions at various levels. In the recently held TGT (Arts) examination, candidates from Sirmaur district were selected for 102 out of the 425 available posts.
During the event, school students presented engaging and entertaining cultural performances. On this occasion, Meenakshi and Jaideep (Nestlé Jigyasa Project), Ramesh Kumar (Regional Manager, Agastya International Foundation), Vijay Raghav (Deputy Director of Higher Education), and Indra Mohan (Principal, Kafota) honored the chief guest by presenting a shawl and a cap. Also present on the occasion were Raman Kumar Sharma (SDM, Kafota), Rajesh Negi (BDO, Tiloradhar), Sita Ram Sharma (APMC Chairman), Kalyan Dhamta (Congress Committee Mandal President, Shillai), Khatri Singh Thakur (Zila Parishad Member, Sataun), and other dignitaries.
