हिमाचल प्रदेश राज्य चयन आयोग (HPRCA) द्वारा आयोजित की जाने वाली कंप्यूटर आधारित परीक्षाओं (CBT) को लेकर प्रदेश भर के अभ्यर्थियों में लगातार असंतोष बढ़ता जा रहा है। अभ्यर्थियों का कहना है कि प्रदेश के विभिन्न जिलों में परीक्षा केंद्र उपलब्ध होने के बावजूद उन्हें परीक्षा देने के लिए 300 से 400 किलोमीटर दूर स्थित केंद्रों पर भेजा जा रहा है, जिससे उन्हें भारी परेशानियों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। अभ्यर्थियों ने बताया कि सिरमौर जिले के पांवटा साहिब में CBT परीक्षा केंद्र मौजूद है, लेकिन इसके बावजूद जिले के अनेक उम्मीदवारों के परीक्षा केंद्र शिमला आवंटित किए गए हैं। इसी प्रकार अन्य जिलों के अभ्यर्थियों को भी अपने घरों से सैकड़ों किलोमीटर दूर जाकर परीक्षा देनी पड़ रही है। इससे विद्यार्थियों पर आर्थिक, मानसिक और शारीरिक बोझ बढ़ रहा है। कई अभ्यर्थियों को परीक्षा केंद्र तक पहुंचने के लिए एक दिन पहले यात्रा करनी पड़ती है तथा होटल और परिवहन पर अतिरिक्त खर्च वाहन करना पड़ता है। दूरस्थ क्षेत्रों से आने वाले उम्मीदवारों को सुबह के समय परीक्षा केंद्र तक पहुंचने में विशेष कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ता है। ऐसे में परीक्षा से पहले ही अभ्यर्थी मानसिक तनाव का शिकार हो जाते हैं, जिसका सीधा प्रभाव उनके प्रदर्शन पर पड़ सकता है। अभ्यर्थियों का कहना है कि जब आयोग द्वारा एक परीक्षा के लिए लगभग ₹800 तक शुल्क लिया जा रहा है, तो उम्मीदवारों को अपने जिले या नजदीकी परीक्षा केंद्र पर परीक्षा देने की सुविधा उपलब्ध करवाई जानी चाहिए। इतना अधिक शुल्क लेने के बावजूद यदि उम्मीदवारों को सैकड़ों किलोमीटर दूर परीक्षा देने भेजा जाता है, तो यह व्यवस्था छात्र हितों के अनुरूप नहीं मानी जा सकती।प्रदेश के युवाओं का मानना है कि तकनीक और संसाधनों के इस दौर में सभी जिलों में CBT केंद्र स्थापित करना कोई कठिन कार्य नहीं है। यदि आयोग प्रत्येक जिले में पर्याप्त परीक्षा केंद्र सुनिश्चित करता है, तो अभ्यर्थियों का समय और धन दोनों बचेंगे तथा परीक्षा प्रक्रिया अधिक पारदर्शी और सुविधाजनक बनेगी। अभ्यर्थियों ने HPRCA तथा प्रदेश सरकार से आग्रह किया है कि इस विषय पर गंभीरता से विचार करते हुए भविष्य की सभी CBT परीक्षाओं के लिए प्रत्येक जिले में पर्याप्त परीक्षा केंद्र स्थापित किए जाएं। साथ ही परीक्षा केंद्र आवंटित करते समय उम्मीदवारों के निवास स्थान और दूरी को प्राथमिकता दी जाए, ताकि किसी भी अभ्यर्थी को अनावश्यक रूप से लंबी यात्रा न करनी पड़े।यह केवल सुविधा का विषय नहीं है, बल्कि प्रदेश के हजारों युवाओं को समान अवसर उपलब्ध कराने का प्रश्न है। इसलिए आयोग को छात्र हित को सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता देते हुए जल्द उचित निर्णय लेना चाहिए।

Candidates Demand Establishment of CBT Exam Centers in All Himachal Pradesh Districts

Dissatisfaction is mounting among candidates across Himachal Pradesh regarding the Computer-Based Tests (CBT) conducted by the Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission (HPRCA). Candidates state that despite the availability of exam centers in various districts, they are being assigned centers located 300 to 400 kilometers away, causing them significant hardship. Candidates pointed out that while a CBT exam center exists in Paonta Sahib (Sirmaur district), many candidates from the district have been assigned centers in Shimla. Similarly, candidates from other districts are forced to travel hundreds of kilometers from their homes to take the exam. This imposes an increased financial, mental, and physical burden on the students. Many candidates have to travel a day in advance to reach the exam center, incurring additional expenses for accommodation and transport. Candidates from remote areas face particular difficulty reaching the center in time for the exam. Consequently, candidates suffer mental stress before the exam even begins, which can directly impact their performance. Candidates argue that since the Commission charges a fee of approximately ₹800 per exam, they should be provided the facility to take the test within their own district or at a nearby center. Being sent hundreds of kilometers away despite paying such a high fee cannot be considered a system that serves the students’ interests. The state’s youth believe that in this era of advanced technology and resources, establishing CBT centers in every district is not a difficult task. If the Commission ensures adequate exam centers in every district, it would save both time and money for the candidates and make the examination process more transparent and convenient. Candidates have urged the HPRCA and the state government to seriously consider this matter and establish adequate exam centers in every district for all future CBT examinations. Furthermore, priority should be given to the candidates’ place of residence and the distance involved when allocating examination centers, so that no candidate is forced to undertake an unnecessarily long journey. This is not merely a matter of convenience; it is a question of providing equal opportunities to thousands of the state’s youth. Therefore, the Commission should take an appropriate decision promptly, according the highest priority to the interests of the students.
