पांवटा साहिब में वरिष्ठ नागरिक परिषद की मासिक बैठक परिषद अध्यक्ष राजिन्द्र शर्मा की अध्यक्षता में आयोजित हुई। बैठक की शुरुआत में अध्यक्ष ने उपस्थित सदस्यों का कुशलक्षेम जाना और उनका स्वागत करते हुए परिषद की गतिविधियों व आगामी योजनाओं की जानकारी साझा की।महासचिव विजय कुमार चौहान ने पिछले माह की कार्यवाही प्रस्तुत की, जिसे सर्वसम्मति से अनुमोदित किया गया। इस दौरान परिषद से जुड़े नए सदस्यों- डॉ. संजीव सहगल, मदन शर्मा, चन्द्रमोहन शर्मा और कंवल दीप सिंह का स्वागत किया गया। बैठक का मुख्य आकर्षण नेशनल मास्टर्स गेम्स में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करने वाले सदस्यों का सम्मान रहा। परिषद के सदस्य राजिन्द्र शर्मा, कैप्टन जगत सिंह और त्रिलोक नाथ सिंह ने विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं में स्वर्ण, रजत और कांस्य पदक हासिल कर क्षेत्र का नाम रोशन किया। उपस्थित सदस्यों ने उनकी उपलब्धियों पर गर्व व्यक्त करते हुए बधाई दी। बैठक में जनहित से जुड़े कई मुद्दों पर चर्चा हुई। परिषद ने बद्रीपुर चौक और इंदिरा मार्केट क्षेत्र में सार्वजनिक शौचालयों की व्यवस्था करने की मांग नगर पालिका से करने का निर्णय लिया। साथ ही पेंशनरों को समय पर पेंशन जारी करने की मांग भी उठाई गई। परिषद ने पांवटा साहिब को रेल मार्ग से जोड़ने की लंबे समय से लंबित मांग को दोहराते हुए सरकार से शीघ्र कदम उठाने की अपील की। बैठक में एन.डी. सरीन, टी.सी. गुप्ता, पी.एल. शर्मा, आर.के. जैन, प्रवेश सबलोक, डॉ. अमरजीत सिंह, एस.के. बिश्नोई, नानक सिंह, मुकेश गर्ग, विनोद गोयल, गुरदयाल सिंह सैनी, अशोक मलिक, चत्तर सिंह, जीवन शर्मा, राकेश चन्द्र गुप्ता और गुरभीत सिंह सहित कई सदस्य उपस्थित रहे।

Senior Citizens’ Council Meeting in Paonta Sahib: National Masters Games Winners Honored

The monthly meeting of the Senior Citizens’ Council in Paonta Sahib was held under the chairmanship of the Council President, Rajinder Sharma. At the outset of the meeting, the President inquired about the well-being of the members present and, while extending a warm welcome, shared updates regarding the Council’s ongoing activities and upcoming plans. General Secretary Vijay Kumar Chauhan presented the minutes of the previous month’s proceedings, which were unanimously approved. During the session, new members joining the Council—Dr. Sanjeev Sehgal, Madan Sharma, Chandramohan Sharma, and Kanwal Deep Singh—were formally welcomed. The highlight of the meeting was the felicitation of members who had delivered outstanding performances at the National Masters Games. Council members Rajinder Sharma, Captain Jagat Singh, and Trilok Nath Singh brought laurels to the region by securing gold, silver, and bronze medals in various competitions. The members present expressed their pride in these achievements and extended their congratulations to the winners. Several issues concerning the public interest were discussed during the meeting. The Council resolved to request the Municipal Council to make arrangements for public toilets at Badripur Chowk and in the Indira Market area. Additionally, a demand was raised for the timely disbursement of pensions to pensioners. Reiterating the long-pending demand to connect Paonta Sahib to the railway network, the Council appealed to the government to take immediate steps in this regard. A large number of members attended the meeting, including N.D. Sareen, T.C. Gupta, P.L. Sharma, R.K. Jain, Pravesh Sablok, Dr. Amarjit Singh, S.K. Bishnoi, Nanak Singh, Mukesh Garg, Vinod Goyal, Gurdyal Singh Saini, Ashok Malik, Chattar Singh, Jeevan Sharma, Rakesh Chandra Gupta, and Gurbheet Singh.
