जिला सिरमौर के पांवटा साहिब उपमंडल के अंतर्गत पुलिस थाना माजरा की टीम ने नशा तस्करी के खिलाफ कार्रवाई करते हुए एक व्यक्ति को 90 नशीले कैप्सूल सहित गिरफ्तार किया है। जानकारी के अनुसार पुलिस टीम माजरा क्षेत्र में गश्त पर थी। इसी दौरान गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर जगतपुर क्षेत्र में एक टेम्पो (नंबर HP17F-7072) को जांच के लिए रोका गया। वाहन चालक की पहचान अरशद अली निवासी जगतपुर, डाकघर माजरा, तहसील पांवटा साहिब, जिला सिरमौर के रूप में हुई। तलाशी के दौरान पुलिस ने वाहन से 90 नशीले कैप्सूल बरामद किए। इसके बाद आरोपी को मौके पर ही गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। पुलिस ने आरोपी के खिलाफ थाना माजरा में NDPS एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और मामले की जांच शुरू कर दी गई है। साथ ही यह भी पता लगाया जा रहा है कि आरोपी नशीले पदार्थ कहां से लाया था और इसे कहां सप्लाई करने की योजना थी।

Acting against drug trafficking, a team from the Majra Police Station—under the Paonta Sahib subdivision of District Sirmour—has arrested an individual found in possession of 90 narcotic capsules. According to reports, the police team was on patrol in the Majra area. During this time, acting on a tip-off, a tempo (bearing registration number HP17F-7072) was stopped for inspection in the Jagatpur area. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Arshad Ali, a resident of Jagatpur (Post Office: Majra, Tehsil: Paonta Sahib, District: Sirmour). During the search, the police recovered 90 narcotic capsules from the vehicle. Subsequently, the accused was arrested on the spot. The police have registered a case against the accused under the NDPS Act at the Majra Police Station, and an investigation into the matter has been initiated. Additionally, authorities are working to ascertain the source from which the accused procured the narcotic substances and the intended destination for their supply.
