थाना पांवटा साहिब के अंतर्गत कार में आगजनी के मामले में पुलिस ने दो आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। यह घटना 4 मई की देर रात की है, जब अज्ञात व्यक्तियों ने एक घर के बाहर खड़ी कार को पेट्रोल छिड़ककर आग के हवाले कर दिया था।शिकायतकर्ता रणजीत सिंह, निवासी वार्ड नंबर 08 कोर्ट रोड पांवटा साहिब, ने पुलिस को दी शिकायत में बताया कि रात करीब दो बजे शोर और धुएं के कारण उनकी नींद खुली। बाहर जाकर देखा तो उनकी कार (HP17G-1000) धू-धू कर जल रही थी। पड़ोसियों की मदद से आग बुझाने का प्रयास किया गया और फायर ब्रिगेड को भी सूचना दी गई, लेकिन तब तक गाड़ी पूरी तरह जल चुकी थी। घटना के बाद घर में लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरों की जांच करने पर पता चला कि दो बाइकों पर सवार पांच युवक आए थे। उन्होंने घर के गेट के अंदर पेट्रोल छिड़ककर कार को आग लगाई और मौके से फरार हो गए। पुलिस ने इस मामले में भारतीय न्याय संहिता (BNS) की धारा 326(G), 324(4) और 3(5) के तहत मामला दर्ज कर जांच शुरू की। साइबर सेल पांवटा साहिब और CCTV फुटेज के आधार पर पुलिस ने दो आरोपियों कमल (21) निवासी भगवानपुर, जिला यमुनानगर (हरियाणा) और निखिल (21) निवासी बुढ़िया चुंगी, जिला यमुनानगर को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। दोनों आरोपियों को न्यायालय में पेश कर पुलिस रिमांड हासिल किया गया है। पुलिस मामले के अन्य आरोपियों की तलाश में जुटी है और हर पहलू से जांच जारी है।

The police have arrested two accused individuals in connection with a case of arson involving a car, falling under the jurisdiction of the Paonta Sahib Police Station. The incident occurred late on the night of May 4, when unidentified individuals doused a car—parked outside a residence—with petrol and set it ablaze. The complainant, Ranjit Singh, a resident of Ward No. 08, Court Road, Paonta Sahib, stated in his complaint to the police that he was woken up around 2:00 AM by the sound of commotion and smoke. Upon stepping outside to investigate, he discovered that his car (HP17G-1000) was engulfed in flames. Attempts were made to extinguish the fire with the help of neighbors, and the fire brigade was also alerted; however, by the time they arrived, the vehicle had been completely reduced to ashes. Following the incident, an examination of the CCTV cameras installed at the residence revealed that five youths, riding on two motorcycles, had arrived at the scene. They sprayed petrol inside the house’s gate to set the car on fire before fleeing the spot. The police have registered a case under Sections 326(G), 324(4), and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in connection with this matter and have initiated an investigation. Acting on leads provided by the Paonta Sahib Cyber ​​Cell and the CCTV footage, the police arrested two accused individuals: Kamal (21), a resident of Bhagwanpur, District Yamunanagar (Haryana), and Nikhil (21), a resident of Budhiya Chungi, District Yamunanagar. Both accused individuals were produced before a court, and the police have secured their remand for further interrogation. The police are currently engaged in a search for the other accused individuals involved in the case, and the investigation is proceeding from every possible angle.
