जिला सिरमौर के पांवटा साहिब में नशा तस्करी के खिलाफ पुलिस को बड़ी सफलता हाथ लगी है। डिटेक्शन सैल पांवटा साहिब की टीम ने गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर कार्रवाई करते हुए एक व्यक्ति को 11.01 ग्राम हेरोइन (चिट्टा) सहित गिरफ्तार किया है। प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार पुलिस टीम गश्त के दौरान मादक पदार्थों से संबंधित सूचनाएं एकत्र कर रही थी। इसी दौरान गुप्त सूत्र से सूचना मिली कि देवीनगर निवासी इन्दरपाल अपने घर में स्मैक/हेरोइन बेचने का अवैध धंधा करता है। सूचना के आधार पर पुलिस ने तुरंत छापेमारी की और आरोपी के कब्जे से 11.01 ग्राम हेरोइन बरामद की। पुलिस ने आरोपी के खिलाफ थाना पांवटा साहिब में NDPS एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया है। आरोपी को अदालत में पेश कर पुलिस हिरासत रिमांड लिया जा रहा है। साथ ही पुलिस यह पता लगाने में जुटी है कि यह नशे की खेप कहां से लाई गई थी और किन लोगों को सप्लाई की जानी थी, ताकि पूरे नेटवर्क का खुलासा किया जा सके।

The police have achieved a major breakthrough in their fight against drug trafficking in Paonta Sahib, District Sirmour. Acting on a tip-off, the team from the Paonta Sahib Detection Cell arrested an individual in possession of 11.01 grams of heroin (locally known as ‘Chitta’). According to reports, the police team was gathering intelligence regarding narcotics-related activities while conducting routine patrols. During this time, a confidential source provided information that Inderpal, a resident of Devinagar, was running an illicit business of selling smack/heroin from his home. Acting on this intelligence, the police immediately conducted a raid and recovered 11.01 grams of heroin from the accused’s possession. The police have registered a case against the accused under the NDPS Act at the Paonta Sahib Police Station. The accused is being produced before the court to seek police custody remand. Additionally, the police are actively working to trace the origin of this drug consignment and identify the individuals to whom it was intended to be supplied, with the aim of dismantling the entire drug trafficking network.
