उपमंडल की ग्राम पंचायत फूलपुर शमशेरगढ़ के अंतर्गत गांव बांगरण में सोमवार सुबह एक लगभग 8 फीट लंबा एक विशाल अजगर के घर में घुस आने से ग्रामीणों में हड़कंप मच गया। गनीमत रही कि इस दौरान अजगर ने किसी व्यक्ति या पशु को कोई नुकसान नहीं पहुंचाया। घटना सुबह करीब 8 बजे सामने आई। जानकारी के अनुसार देर रात लगभग 12 बजे मकान के साथ बनी गौशाला में बंधी गायों के बीच अचानक एक विशाल अजगर घुस गया। अजगर को देखकर गौशाला में बंधे पशुओं में अफरा-तफरी मच गई। पशुओं की हलचल सुनकर मकान मालकिन सुखों देवी गौशाला की ओर पहुंचीं, जहां उनकी नजर अजगर पर पड़ी। अजगर दिखाई देने के बाद परिवार सहित आसपास के लोग पूरी रात दहशत में रहे। सुबह जैसे ही घटना की जानकारी ग्रामीणों को मिली तो मौके पर लोगों की भीड़ जुट गई। ग्रामीणों ने तुरंत वन विभाग को सूचना दी और स्नेक कैचर को बुलाया गया। करीब सुबह 8 बजे पांवटा साहिब से स्नेक कैचर सरदार भूपेंद्र सिंह मौके पर पहुंचे। उन्होंने बेहद सावधानी के साथ एक छड़ी और काले कपड़े की झोली की मदद से अजगर का सफल रेस्क्यू किया। बाद में अजगर को वन विभाग के सुपुर्द कर जंगल में सुरक्षित छोड़ने की प्रक्रिया शुरू की गई। घटना की सूचना मिलने पर वन विभाग से वनरक्षक अजय शर्मा भी मौके पर पहुंचे। वन विभाग ने बताया कि अजगर को सुरक्षित स्थान पर छोड़ा जाएगा।

Panic gripped the villagers of Bangaran—located within the Phoolpur Shamshergarh Gram Panchayat of the subdivision—on Monday morning after a massive python, approximately 8 feet in length, entered a residential home. Fortunately, the python did not cause any harm to any person or animal during the incident. The event came to light around 8:00 AM. According to reports, late on Sunday night—around 12:00 AM—a massive python suddenly slithered into the cowshed attached to the house, right amidst the tethered cows. The sight of the python caused chaos and commotion among the livestock tied up in the cowshed. Alerted by the disturbance among the animals, the homeowner, Sukho Devi, rushed to the cowshed, where she spotted the python. Following the sighting, the family—along with neighbors in the vicinity—spent the entire night in a state of terror. As soon as news of the incident reached the villagers in the morning, a crowd gathered at the scene. The villagers immediately informed the Forest Department, and a professional snake catcher was summoned. Around 8:00 AM, Sardar Bhupinder Singh—a snake catcher from Paonta Sahib—arrived at the location. With extreme caution, and using a stick and a black cloth bag, he successfully rescued the python. Subsequently, the python was handed over to the Forest Department, and the process to safely release it back into the forest was initiated. Upon receiving information about the incident, Forest Guard Ajay Sharma from the Forest Department also arrived at the scene. The Forest Department stated that the python would be released in a safe location.
