पुलिस थाना पुरुवाला के अंतर्गत पुलिस की विशेष अन्वेषण इकाई (एस.आई.यू.) ने नशीले पदार्थों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई करते हुए एक व्यक्ति को चिट्टे के साथ गिरफ्तार किया है। गिरफ्तार आरोपी की पहचान पंकज कुमार उर्फ पंकू निवासी गांव टिम्बी अशयाड़ी, तहसील शिलाई के रूप में हुई है।पुलिस टीम द्वारा की गई तलाशी के दौरान आरोपी के कब्जे से 5.21 ग्राम चिट्टा बरामद किया गया। इसके अलावा नशीले पदार्थ के सेवन में प्रयुक्त फॉयल पेपर भी आरोपी के पास से बरामद हुए हैं। एसपी सिरमौर एन.एस. नेगी ने मामले की पुष्टि करते हुए बताया कि आरोपी के खिलाफ पुलिस थाना पुरुवाला में मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है। आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर न्यायालय में पेश किया जा रहा है तथा आगे की जांच के लिए पुलिस रिमांड हासिल किया जा रहा है।

The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Puruwala Police Station, in a crackdown against narcotics, has arrested a man with heroin. The arrested accused has been identified as Pankaj Kumar alias Pankoo, a resident of Timbi Ashyari village, Shillai tehsil. During a search conducted by the police team, 5.21 grams of heroin were recovered from the accused. Foil paper used for consuming the drug was also recovered from his possession. SP Sirmaur N.S. Negi confirmed the incident, stating that a case has been registered against the accused at Puruwala Police Station. The accused is being produced before the court, and police remand is being sought for further investigation.
