जिला सिरमौर के पुलिस थाना सदर नाहन के अंतर्गत 26 जनवरी 2026 को एक शादी समारोह के दौरान हुई दंगे और मारपीट की घटना में पुलिस ने बड़ी कार्रवाई की है। मारकंडा पुल के पास हुई इस हिंसक घटना में पुलिस ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए अब तक पांच आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। बताया जा रहा है कि आरोपी हरियाणा से एक स्विफ्ट कार में सवार होकर आए थे और वारदात को अंजाम देने के बाद मौके से फरार हो गए थे। जानकारी के अनुसार, हरियाणा से सात युवक स्थानीय निवासी रोहित की शादी में शिरकत करने आए थे। समारोह के दौरान किसी बात को लेकर विवाद इतना बढ़ गया कि युवकों ने डंडों, हॉकी स्टिक और पिस्तौल का इस्तेमाल कर वहां मौजूद लोगों पर हमला कर दिया। इस घटना से क्षेत्र में काफी दहशत फैल गई थी। पुलिस ने इस मामले में BNS की विभिन्न धाराओं और आर्म्स एक्ट के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज किया है।

एसपी सिरमौर निश्चित सिंह नेगी ने घटना की पुस्टि करते हुए बताया कि गिरफ्तार किए गए आरोपियों में हरियाणा के छछरौली निवासी विशाल (29), आशिक (23), साबीर (25) और रवि (25) के अलावा नाहन का स्थानीय निवासी मुकेश ठाकुर (25) शामिल है। पुलिस ने वारदात में इस्तेमाल की गई स्विफ्ट कार (HR02AR-7859) को बरामद कर लिया है। फिलहाल सभी आरोपी पुलिस रिमांड पर हैं और पुलिस उनसे हमले में इस्तेमाल किए गए हथियारों की बरामदगी की कोशिश कर रही है। एसपी सिरमौर ने कड़ा रुख अपनाते हुए स्पष्ट संदेश दिया है कि शांति भंग करने वाले असामाजिक तत्वों को किसी भी कीमत पर बख्शा नहीं जाएगा। पुलिस के अनुसार, फरार अन्य आरोपियों की गिरफ्तारी के लिए भी दबिश दी जा रही है। एसपी ने जोर देकर कहा है कि सिरमौर में कानून-व्यवस्था बिगाड़ने वालों के खिलाफ सख्त से सख्त कानूनी कार्रवाई अमल में लाई जाएगी।

The police in Sirmaur district have taken swift action in connection with a riot and assault that occurred during a wedding ceremony on January 26, 2026, under the jurisdiction of Sadar Nahan police station. Following the violent incident near the Markanda bridge, the police have so far arrested five accused. It is reported that the accused arrived in a Swift car from Haryana and fled the scene after committing the crime. According to reports, seven young men from Haryana had come to attend the wedding of a local resident named Rohit. During the ceremony, a dispute escalated to such an extent that the men attacked those present with sticks, hockey sticks, and a pistol. The incident caused considerable panic in the area. The police have registered a case under various sections of the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita) and the Arms Act.

Superintendent of Police Sirmaur, Nishant Singh Negi, confirmed the incident and stated that the arrested accused include Vishal (29), Ashiq (23), Sabir (25), and Ravi (25), all residents of Chhachhrauli in Haryana, along with Mukesh Thakur (25), a local resident of Nahan. The police have recovered the Swift car (HR02AR-7859) used in the crime. All the accused are currently in police custody, and the police are attempting to recover the weapons used in the attack. SP Sirmaur adopted a firm stance, sending a clear message that anti-social elements who disrupt peace will not be spared at any cost. According to the police, raids are also being conducted to apprehend the other absconding accused. The SP emphasized that the strictest possible legal action will be taken against those who disturb law and order in Sirmaur.
