राजधानी शिमला के ऐतिहासिक आईस स्केटिंग रिंक में नए स्केटिंग सत्र के लिए तैयारियां शुरू कर दी है। सर्दी के आगमन के साथ ही ग्राउंड की सफाई और समतलीकरण का कार्य शुरू कर दिया गया है। आगामी दिनों में रिंक में पानी का छिड़काव किया जाएगा ताकि बर्फ की परत जमाई जा सके। मौसम अनुकूल रहने पर इस वर्ष दिसंबर के पहले सप्ताह से आइस स्केटिंग सत्र शुरू होने की संभावना है। हालांकि, रिंक को ऑल वैदर आइस स्केटिंग रिंक बनाने की योजना अभी तक सिरे नहीं चढ़ पाई है। रेफ्रिजरेशन प्लांट की स्थापना न होने के कारण इस बार भी बर्फ की परत प्राकृतिक तरीके से ही तैयार की जाएगी। आइस स्केटिंग क्लब, शिमला लक्कड़ बाजार के सचिव रजत मल्होत्रा ने बताया कि ग्राउंड की सफाई का कार्य जारी है और जल्द ही समतलीकरण के बाद पानी का छिड़काव शुरू किया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि “मौसम ने साथ दिया तो इस बार दिसंबर के पहले सप्ताह में आइस स्केटिंग सत्र का शुभारंभ किया जाएगा और उम्मीद है कि इस बार अधिक स्केटिंग सत्र आयोजित होंगे।”

Preparations have begun for a new skating season at Shimla’s historic ice skating rink. With the arrival of winter, the ground has been cleaned and leveled. In the coming days, the rink will be sprayed with water to create a layer of ice. If the weather is favorable, the ice skating season is expected to begin in the first week of December this year. However, plans to make the rink an all-weather ice rink have not yet been implemented. Due to the lack of a refrigeration plant, the ice will be prepared naturally this time as well. Rajat Malhotra, Secretary of the Ice Skating Club, Shimla Lakkar Bazaar, stated that ground cleaning is underway, and water sprinkling will begin soon after leveling. He added, “If the weather cooperates, the ice skating season will begin in the first week of December, and we hope to organize more skating sessions this year.”
