सिरमौर जिले में नशा तस्करी के खिलाफ चलाए जा रहे अभियान के तहत विशेष अन्वेषण इकाई (SIU) नाहन की टीम को बड़ी सफलता हाथ लगी है। पुलिस ने शिल्ला गांव के पास एक युवक को चरस की तस्करी करते हुए गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोपी के कब्जे से 210 ग्राम चरस बरामद की गई है। पुलिस से प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार, SIU नाहन की टीम ने गश्त के दौरान गांव शिल्ला, तहसील कमरऊ के पास एक युवक को संदिग्ध अवस्था में देखा। पुलिस टीम ने जब युवक की तलाशी ली तो उसके कब्जे से 210 ग्राम चरस बरामद हुई।

आरोपी की पहचान अजय पुत्र जगदीश शर्मा, निवासी गांव टिटियाणा, तहसील कमरऊ, जिला सिरमौर के रूप में हुई है। पुलिस ने मौके पर ही उसे गिरफ्तार कर लिया और उसके खिलाफ पुलिस थाना शिलाई में एनडीपीएस अधिनियम के तहत अभियोग पंजीकृत किया गया है।अभियुक्त को आज अदालत में पेश किया गया, जहां से उसे 13 अक्तूबर 2025 तक पुलिस हिरासत रिमांड पर भेज दिया गया है, ताकि उससे आगे की पूछताछ की जा सके और यह पता लगाया जा सके कि वह चरस कहां से लाया था और कहां सप्लाई करने जा रहा था।

Under the campaign being run against drug trafficking in Sirmaur district, the team of Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Nahan has got a big success. Police has arrested a youth near Shilla village while smuggling hashish. 210 grams of hashish has been recovered from the possession of the accused. According to information received from the police, during patrolling, the team of SIU Nahan saw a youth in a suspicious condition near village Shilla, Tehsil Kamaru. When the police team searched the youth, 210 grams of hashish was recovered from his possession.

The accused has been identified as Ajay, son of Jagdish Sharma, resident of village Titiyana, Tehsil Kamaru, District Sirmaur. Police arrested him on the spot and a case has been registered against him under the NDPS Act at Police Station Shillai. The accused was produced in court today and remanded to police custody until October 13, 2025, for further interrogation and to ascertain where he had procured the hashish and where he was planning to supply it.
