जिला सिरमौर के उपमंडल पांवटा के ऐतिहासिक रामलीला मैदान में सोमवार को परम पावन तिब्बती धर्मगुरु 14वें दलाई लामा जी के 90वें जन्मदिवस के उपलक्ष्य में करुणा वर्ष 2025 का शुभारंभ किया गया। इस भव्य आयोजन में बतौर मुख्य अतिथि अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त सिरमौर एल.आर. वर्मा ने शिरकत की। विशेष अतिथियों में एसडीएम पांवटा गुंजीत सिंह छीमा, नगर परिषद अध्यक्षा निर्मल कौर, उपाध्यक्ष ओ.पी. कटारिया, मदन लाल खुराना और अवनिंद्र सिंह नोटी भी उपस्थित रहे। इस अवसर पर स्थानीय और तिब्बती समुदायों की सहभागिता से विभिन्न रंगारंग सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियाँ आयोजित की गईं। रोज ऑर्किड वर्ल्ड स्कूल के बच्चों ने मनमोहक पहाड़ी नाटी पेश की, वहीं गुरु नानक मिशन पब्लिक स्कूल ने पारंपरिक गिद्दा से समां बांधा। तिब्बती समुदाय द्वारा प्रसिद्ध स्नो डांस की प्रस्तुति ने दर्शकों का दिल जीत लिया।कोटड़ी व्यास स्कूल के छात्रों ने योग पर एक सुंदर प्रस्तुति दी, जबकि पीएम श्री गवर्नमेंट सीनियर सेकेंडरी स्कूल छात्र तारुवाला के बच्चों ने भी जोशपूर्ण हिमाचली नाटी प्रस्तुत कर समां बांध दिया। कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य दलाई लामा की चार प्रमुख प्रतिबद्धताओं को जन-जन तक पहुंचाना और करुणा, सह-अस्तित्व तथा आध्यात्मिकता का संदेश देना रहा।

The Karuna Year 2025 was inaugurated on Monday at the historic Ramlila Ground in Paonta subdivision of Sirmaur district to commemorate the 90th birthday of His Holiness the Tibetan spiritual leader 14th Dalai Lama. Additional Deputy Commissioner Sirmaur L.R. Verma attended this grand event as the chief guest. Among the special guests were SDM Paonta Gunjit Singh Chhima, Municipal Council President Nirmal Kaur, Vice President O.P. Kataria, Madan Lal Khurana and Avnindra Singh Noti. On this occasion, various colourful cultural presentations were organized with the participation of local and Tibetan communities. The children of Rose Orchid World School presented a captivating Pahadi Naati, while Guru Nanak Mission Public School set the stage on fire with traditional Gidda. The famous Snow Dance performance by the Tibetan community won the hearts of the audience. Students of Kotdi Vyas School gave a beautiful presentation on Yoga while children of PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School, Taruwala also enthralled the audience with their energetic Himachali Nati performance. The aim of the programme was to spread the four main commitments of Dalai Lama to the people and to give the message of compassion, co-existence and spirituality.
