अप्रैल माह में मौसम ने अचानक करवट ले ली है और फरवरी जैसी ठंड का एहसास हो रहा है। शुक्रवार को प्रदेश में धूप खिलने से लोगों को दिन में कुछ राहत जरूर मिली, लेकिन सुबह और शाम अब भी कड़ाके की ठंड बनी हुई है।
मौसम विज्ञान केंद्र शिमला द्वारा जारी ताजा पूर्वानुमान के अनुसार शनिवार को चंबा, कांगड़ा, मंडी, कुल्लू और शिमला में आंधी और बिजली गिरने की चेतावनी दी गई है। ऊंचाई वाले इलाकों में एक-दो स्थानों पर हिमपात और निचले क्षेत्रों में हल्की से मध्यम बारिश की संभावना है। वहीं 15 और 16 अप्रैल को भी कुछ स्थानों पर वर्षा हो सकती है, जबकि अन्य दिनों में मौसम साफ रहने और धूप खिलने का अनुमान है। शुक्रवार को धूप निकलने से अधिकतम तापमान में 7 डिग्री तक की बढ़ोतरी दर्ज की गई, फिर भी तापमान सामान्य से 2 से 6 डिग्री कम रहा। सुबह और शाम की ठंड लोगों को परेशान कर रही है।

प्रदेश में सबसे अधिक तापमान वृद्धि मनाली में दर्ज की गई, जहां तापमान 7.6 डिग्री बढ़कर 18.8 डिग्री पहुंच गया। कांगड़ा में 1.6 डिग्री की वृद्धि के साथ अधिकतम तापमान 26 डिग्री दर्ज हुआ, जो सामान्य से 6.1 डिग्री कम है। शिमला में 3.8 डिग्री की बढ़ोतरी के साथ तापमान 18.6 डिग्री रहा, जो सामान्य से 1.3 डिग्री कम है।
न्यूनतम तापमान भी सामान्य से 2 से 7 डिग्री कम दर्ज किया गया। केलंग प्रदेश का सबसे ठंडा स्थान रहा, जहां तापमान -1.0 डिग्री दर्ज हुआ।
अप्रैल में अब तक 55.4 मिमी वर्षा दर्ज की गई है, जो सामान्य से 142 प्रतिशत अधिक है। मुख्य स्थानों का तापमान (न्यूनतम/अधिकतम °C): शिमला: 6.8 / 18.6 सुंदरनगर: 7.6 / 26.7

Weather Update: Cold Returns in April, Rain and Snow Likely in Himachal; Temperatures Below Normal

The weather has taken a sudden turn in April, bringing back a chill similar to February. Although sunshine on Friday provided some daytime relief, cold conditions continue to persist during the mornings and evenings.

According to the latest forecast issued by the Meteorological Centre in Shimla, thunderstorms and lightning are expected on Saturday in districts including Chamba, Kangra, Mandi, Kullu, and Shimla. Higher altitude areas may witness light snowfall at isolated places, while lower regions are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall.

Rain is also expected at some locations on April 15 and 16, whereas the remaining days are likely to see clear weather and sunshine. On Friday, maximum temperatures rose by up to 7°C due to sunshine; however, they still remained 2 to 6 degrees below normal. The persistent cold during mornings and evenings continues to trouble residents.

The highest temperature rise was recorded in Manali, where it increased by 7.6°C to reach 18.8°C. In Kangra, the maximum temperature rose by 1.6°C to 26°C, which is still 6.1°C below normal. In Shimla, the temperature increased by 3.8°C to 18.6°C, remaining 1.3°C below normal.

Minimum temperatures have also been recorded 2 to 7 degrees below normal. Keylong was the coldest place in the state, with a temperature of -1.0°C.

So far in April, the state has recorded 55.4 mm of rainfall, which is 142% above normal.
