ऑपरेशन प्रहार का असर: छात्र हत्याकांड के दो 25-25 हजार के इनामी आरोपी बंगाल से दबोचे

देहरादून पुलिस ने “ऑपरेशन प्रहार” के तहत बड़ी कामयाबी हासिल करते हुए प्रेमनगर छात्र हत्याकांड में फरार चल रहे दो इनामी आरोपियों को पश्चिम बंगाल से गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। गिरफ्तार आरोपियों में मुख्य अभियुक्त भी शामिल है, जो लंबे समय से पुलिस को चकमा दे रहा था।

यह सनसनीखेज मामला 23 मार्च 2026 की रात का है, जब केहरी गांव, प्रेमनगर में छात्रों के दो गुटों के बीच हुए विवाद ने हिंसक रूप ले लिया था। इस दौरान एक युवक गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गया, जिसकी बाद में उपचार के दौरान मौत हो गई। घटना के बाद थाना प्रेमनगर में बीएनएस की धाराओं में मुकदमा दर्ज किया गया था।

पुलिस ने शुरुआती कार्रवाई में चार आरोपियों—युवराज कुमार, मधुर खंडेलवाल, शिवम शर्मा और अंकित भारद्वाज—को गिरफ्तार कर जेल भेज दिया था। हालांकि, मुख्य आरोपी समेत दो अन्य अभियुक्त लगातार फरार थे और गिरफ्तारी से बचने के लिए राज्य बदलकर छिप रहे थे।

वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक देहरादून द्वारा दोनों फरार आरोपियों पर 25-25 हजार रुपये का इनाम घोषित किया गया था। इसके बाद पुलिस टीमों ने सर्विलांस और लगातार दबिश के जरिए उनकी लोकेशन ट्रेस की।

आखिरकार पुलिस ने पश्चिम बंगाल के पुरूलिया स्थित एक रिसॉर्ट में दबिश देकर मुख्य आरोपी प्रहलाद राज और उसके साथी अंकुर सिंह को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। दोनों को ट्रांजिट रिमांड पर देहरादून लाया जा रहा है।

दून पुलिस की इस कार्रवाई को “ऑपरेशन प्रहार” के तहत अपराधियों के खिलाफ चलाए जा रहे अभियान की बड़ी सफलता माना जा रहा है। पुलिस का कहना है कि फरार और वांछित अपराधियों के खिलाफ यह अभियान आगे भी लगातार जारी रहेगा।

Dehradun Police has achieved a major breakthrough under “Operation Prahar” by arresting two absconding accused, including the main आरोपी, in the Premnagar student murder case from West Bengal. The accused had been evading arrest for a long time.

The shocking incident dates back to the night of March 23, 2026, when a clash between two groups of students in Kehri village, Premnagar, turned violent. During the altercation, a युवक was seriously injured and later died during treatment. Following the incident, a case was registered at Premnagar Police Station under relevant sections of the BNS.

In the initial phase of the investigation, police had already arrested four accused—Yuvraj Kumar, Madhur Khandelwal, Shivam Sharma, and Ankit Bhardwaj—and sent them to jail. However, the main accused along with two others had been absconding and were changing locations across states to avoid arrest.

The Senior Superintendent of Police, Dehradun, had announced a reward of ₹25,000 each on the two absconding accused. Police teams then worked on surveillance inputs and continuous raids to track their location.

Eventually, the police team raided a resort in Purulia, West Bengal, and arrested the main accused Prahlad Raj along with his associate Ankur Singh. Both are being brought to Dehradun on transit remand.

This action is being seen as a major success under “Operation Prahar,” a campaign aimed at cracking down on active and wanted criminals. Police officials have stated that the drive will continue with the same intensity in the future.
