अवैध नशे के कारोबार पर लगाम कसते हुए कोतवाली विकासनगर पुलिस ने एक अहम कार्रवाई में 6.81 ग्राम स्मैक के साथ एक आरोपी को गिरफ्तार किया है। यह कार्रवाई 01 अप्रैल 2026 की रात करीब 10:15 बजे नियमित चेकिंग के दौरान की गई।

पुलिस के अनुसार गिरफ्तार आरोपी की पहचान संदीप पुत्र किशन लाल (36 वर्ष), निवासी अस्पताल रोड पूर्विया लाइन, विकासनगर के रूप में हुई है। तलाशी के दौरान उसके पास से 6.81 ग्राम अवैध स्मैक बरामद की गई। आरोपी के खिलाफ एनडीपीएस एक्ट की धारा 8/21 के तहत मामला दर्ज कर उसे न्यायालय में पेश करने की तैयारी की जा रही है।

प्रारंभिक पूछताछ में आरोपी ने खुलासा किया कि वह नशे का आदी है और अपनी लत पूरी करने के लिए चोरी जैसी वारदातों को अंजाम देता रहा है। उसने यह भी बताया कि बरामद स्मैक उसने स्थानीय स्तर पर खरीदी थी और उसे बेचने की फिराक में था, तभी पुलिस के हत्थे चढ़ गया।

पुलिस रिकॉर्ड के मुताबिक आरोपी पहले भी कई आपराधिक मामलों में संलिप्त रहा है, जिनमें एनडीपीएस एक्ट, चोरी और आर्म्स एक्ट के तहत दर्ज मुकदमे शामिल हैं।

इस कार्रवाई में उपनिरीक्षक मयंक त्यागी (चौकी प्रभारी बाजार), कांस्टेबल पवन बिष्ट और कांस्टेबल रजनीश कुमार की अहम भूमिका रही।

पुलिस का कहना है कि नशा तस्करों और इससे जुड़े अपराधियों के खिलाफ अभियान आगे भी लगातार जारी रहेगा, और किसी भी कीमत पर ऐसे तत्वों को बख्शा नहीं जाएगा

Taking strict action against the illegal drug trade, Kotwali Vikasnagar police arrested an आरोपी with 6.81 grams of smack during a routine checking drive. The action was carried out on the night of April 1, 2026, around 10:15 PM.

According to the police, the arrested accused has been identified as Sandeep, son of Kishan Lal (36), a resident of Hospital Road, Purviya Line, Vikasnagar. During the search, 6.81 grams of illegal smack was recovered from his possession. A case has been registered against him under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act, and he is being prepared to be presented before the court.

During initial interrogation, the accused confessed that he is addicted to drugs and had been committing thefts to support his addiction. He also revealed that he had purchased the recovered smack locally and was looking for customers to sell it when he was apprehended by the police.

Police records indicate that the accused has a criminal history, with several cases previously registered against him under the NDPS Act, theft, and the Arms Act.

Sub-Inspector Mayank Tyagi (In-charge, Bazaar Outpost), Constable Pawan Bisht, and Constable Rajneesh Kumar played key roles in this operation.

Police officials stated that the campaign against drug traffickers and related crimes will continue, and strict action will be taken against those involved.
