हिमाचल प्रदेश में नशे के सौदागरों के खिलाफ छेड़ी गई मुहिम के तहत सिरमौर जिला पुलिस की स्पेशल डिटेक्शन टीम को नाहन में एक और बड़ी सफलता हाथ लगी है। आज पुलिस ने गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर कार्रवाई करते हुए कालाअम्ब-नाहन मुख्य मार्ग पर दो युवकों को 6.68 ग्राम चिट्टे (हेरोइन) के साथ रंगे हाथों गिरफ्तार किया है। जानकारी के अनुसार, जब डिटेक्शन टीम गश्त पर तैनात थी, तो उन्हें पुख्ता सूचना मिली कि दो युवक अपनी स्कूटी (नंबर HP 18B 0444) पर नशे की खेप लेकर कालाअम्ब की ओर से नाहन आ रहे हैं। इस पर त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए टीम ने कांगनवाला नेचर पार्क के पास नाकाबंदी की। जैसे ही स्कूटी मौके पर पहुँची, पुलिस ने उसे रोककर तलाशी ली। जांच के दौरान स्कूटी की डिक्की से 6.68 ग्राम चिट्टा बरामद हुआ।

दोनों आरोपी नाहन शहर के ही निवासी हैं। पहले आरोपी की पहचान भानु गर्ग पुत्र सुभाष गर्ग के रूप में हुई है, जो शिमला रोड स्थित मकान नंबर 323/1, नजदीक परशुराम आईटीआई का रहने वाला हैं। वहीं, दूसरा आरोपी अभिमन्यु ठाकुर पुत्र स्वर्गीय मनीष ठाकुर, वार्ड नंबर 8 के अंतर्गत मोहल्ला नजदीक पक्का टैंक, मकान नंबर 725/1 का निवासी हैं। फिलहाल पुलिस दोनों आरोपियों से पूछताछ कर नशे के इस नेटवर्क को खंगालने में जुटी है। पुलिस अधीक्षक (SP) सिरमौर ने मामले की पुष्टि करते हुए बताया कि दोनों आरोपियों के खिलाफ मादक द्रव्य पदार्थ अधिनियम (NDPS Act) के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है। पुलिस अब इन आरोपियों से गहन पूछताछ कर रही है ताकि इस काले कारोबार के मुख्य सरगना तक पहुँचा जा सके। पुलिस प्रशासन अब इस बात की तफ्तीश में जुटा है कि आरोपी यह नशा कहाँ से लेकर आए थे और नाहन व आसपास के क्षेत्रों में उनके संपर्क किन-किन लोगों से हैं। पुलिस का मानना है कि इन गिरफ्तारियों से नशे की सप्लाई चेन को तोड़ने में मदद मिलेगी। आगामी जांच में और भी कई बड़े खुलासे होने की उम्मीद है।

As part of the campaign against drug traffickers in Himachal Pradesh, the Special Detection Team of the Sirmaur District Police achieved another major success in Nahan. Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested two youths red-handed with 6.68 grams of heroin on the Kala Amb-Nahan main road. According to reports, while on patrol, the detection team received a tip-off that two youths were traveling from Kala Amb to Nahan on their scooter (number HP 18B 0444) carrying a consignment of drugs. Acting swiftly, the team set up a roadblock near Kanganwala Nature Park. As soon as the scooter arrived, the police stopped it and searched it. During the search, 6.68 grams of heroin was recovered from the scooter’s trunk.

Both accused are residents of Nahan city. The first accused has been identified as Bhanu Garg, son of Subhash Garg, a resident of house number 323/1, near Parshuram ITI, Shimla Road. The second accused, Abhimanyu Thakur, son of the late Manish Thakur, is a resident of house number 725/1, near Pakka Tank, in Ward number 8. Police are currently interrogating both accused to unravel the drug network. Superintendent of Police (SP) Sirmaur confirmed the case and stated that a case has been registered against both accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Police are now conducting extensive interrogations to reach the masterminds of this illegal trade. The police administration is now investigating where the accused procured the drugs and their connections in Nahan and surrounding areas. Police believe these arrests will help break the drug supply chain. Further investigations are expected to yield more significant revelations.
