सिरमौर जिले के प्रसिद्ध शक्तिपीठ माता बाला सुंदरी मंदिर के समीप आज एक हृदयविदारक घटना सामने आई है। चैत्र नवरात्र मेले के उल्लास के बीच कालाअंब-त्रिलोकपुर मार्ग पर पालियों संपर्क मार्ग के पास एक अज्ञात युवक की ऊंचाई से गिरने के कारण जान चली गई। जानकारी के अनुसार करीब 25 से 26 वर्षीय एक युवक सड़क किनारे लगे पैराफिट पर सोया हुआ था। दोपहर के वक्त गहरी नींद में अचानक संतुलन बिगड़ने के कारण वह पैराफिट से सीधे नीचे गहरे खाले में जा गिरा। हादसे के तुरंत बाद मौके पर चीख-पुकार मच गई और स्थानीय लोग मदद के लिए दौड़े। पुलिस के लिए मृतक की शिनाख्त करना फिलहाल एक बड़ी चुनौती बना हुआ है। मृतक की बाजू पर “धनेश्वर प्रजापति” नाम का टैटू बना हुआ है। पुलिस इसी नाम को आधार मानकर उसकी पहचान के प्रयास कर रही है। हुलिए और टैटू को देखकर आशंका जताई जा रही है कि युवक बाहरी राज्य का निवासी हो सकता है और संभवतः माता के दर्शन के लिए मेले में आया था।

हादसे की सूचना मिलते ही त्रिलोकपुर मेला क्षेत्र में तैनात मेडिकल टीम सक्रिय हो गई और युवक को तुरंत प्राथमिक उपचार देकर एम्बुलेंस के माध्यम से मेडिकल कॉलेज नाहन भेजा गया। हालांकि, चोटें इतनी गंभीर थीं कि डॉक्टरों ने उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया। मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए पुलिस प्रशासन ने जांच तेज कर दी है। एसपी सिरमौर एन.एस. नेगी ने बताया कि मृतक की पहचान सुनिश्चित करने के लिए मेला स्थल पर लाउडस्पीकर के माध्यम से अनाउंसमेंट करवाई जा रही है। पुलिस ने शव को कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए नाहन मेडिकल कॉलेज के शवगृह में रखवा दिया है। आगामी 72 घंटों तक शव को पहचान के लिए रखा जाएगा।

A heartbreaking incident occurred today near the famous Shaktipeeth Mata Bala Sundari Temple in Sirmaur district. Amid the festivities of the Chaitra Navratri festival, an unidentified young man died after falling from a height near the Paliyon link road on the Kala Amb-Trilokpur road. According to reports, the young man, approximately 25 to 26 years old, was sleeping on a roadside parapet. During the afternoon, he suddenly lost his balance while fast asleep and fell straight down from the parapet into a deep ravine. Immediately after the accident, there was a commotion at the scene, and locals rushed to help.

Identifying the deceased remains a major challenge for the police. The deceased had a tattoo of the name “Dhaneshwar Prajapati” on his arm. Police are using this name as a basis for identifying him. Based on his appearance and tattoos, it is suspected that the young man may have been from another state and had possibly come to the fair to visit the Mother Goddess.

Upon receiving information about the accident, the medical team deployed at the Trilokpur fair area swung into action. The young man was immediately given first aid and transported to Nahan Medical College via ambulance. However, the injuries were so severe that doctors declared him dead.

Given the seriousness of the matter, the police administration has intensified the investigation. Superintendent of Police Sirmaur, N.S. Negi, stated that announcements are being made via loudspeakers at the fair site to ensure the identity of the deceased. The police have taken the body into custody and placed it in the mortuary at Nahan Medical College for post-mortem examination. The body will be kept for identification for the next 72 hours.
