जिला मुख्यालय नाहन के समीपवर्ती क्षेत्र शंभूवाला क्षेत्र में उस वक्त सनसनी फैल गई, जब खाले (नाले) में एक युवक का शव बरामद हुआ। मृतक की पहचान 28 वर्षीय जय सिंह के रूप में हुई है, जो शिमला जिले के डोडरा क्वार का रहने वाला था। प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार, जय एक भेड़ पालक था और हर साल की तरह अपनी भेड़ों के साथ इस क्षेत्र में डेरा डाले हुए था। वह पिछले तीन दिनों से अपने डेरे से लापता था। उसके परिजन और साथी लगातार उसकी तलाश कर रहे थे। जय का भाई सन्नी भी कई दिनों से आसपास के गांवों में उसे ढूंढ रहा था, लेकिन उसका कहीं सुराग नहीं मिल पा रहा था। आज सुबह गणेश बाग के पास स्थित एक गहरे खाले में जय का शव देखा गया। सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस टीम मौके पर पहुंची और शव को कब्जे में लिया। प्रारंभिक अंदेशा है कि जय अनियंत्रित होकर खले में गिर गया था।

एसपी सिरमौर निश्चित सिंह नेगी ने मामले की पुष्टि करते हुए बताया कि पुलिस पिछले दो दिनों से युवक की तलाश में जुटी थी। पुलिस के अनुसार, युवक शराब पीने का आदी बताया जा रहा है, जो हादसे का एक संभावित कारण हो सकता है। पुलिस ने शव को कब्जे में ले लिया है। मौत के सही कारणों का पता लगाने के लिए शव का पोस्टमार्टम करवाया जा रहा है। पोस्टमार्टम की रिपोर्ट आने के बाद ही स्थिति पूरी तरह स्पष्ट हो पाएगी। आज प्रक्रिया पूरी कर शव परिजनों को सौंप दिया जाएगा।”28 वर्षीय जय अभी अविवाहित था और रोजी-रोटी के लिए अपने पशुधन के साथ शिमला से सिरमौर के निचले इलाकों में आता था। इस दुखद हादसे के बाद मृतक के परिवार और साथी चरवाहों में शोक की लहर है।

A post-mortem is being conducted to ascertain the exact cause of death. The situation will become completely clear only after the post-mortem report comes. The body will be handed over to the family after completing the process today. 28-year-old Jai was still unmarried and used to travel from Shimla to the lower areas of Sirmaur with his livestock for a living.
