पांवटा साहिब के भुंगरनी क्षेत्र में हाल ही में बनी सड़क एक दिन की बारिश भी नहीं झेल पाई, जिससे स्थानीय लोगों में भारी नाराज़गी देखने को मिल रही है। भुंगरनी इंडियन पब्लिक स्कूल से लेकर गुरुद्वारा श्री दड़ी साहिब तक तैयार की गई सड़क की हालत बेहद खराब हो चुकी है। सड़क पर डाली गई बजरी कई जगहों से उखड़ गई है और नीचे का पुराना रोड साफ नजर आने लगा है। पूरी सड़क पर बिखरी बजरी के कारण राहगीरों और वाहन चालकों को काफी दिक्कतों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि अगर सड़क एक दिन की बारिश में ही उखड़ जाए, तो निर्माण कार्य की गुणवत्ता पर सवाल उठना स्वाभाविक है। लोगों ने यह भी सवाल उठाया कि खराब मौसम के दौरान काम क्यों किया गया और क्या निर्माण में मानकों का पालन किया गया था। अब क्षेत्र के लोगों के मन में यह चिंता भी है कि क्या सड़क को दोबारा सही तरीके से बनाया जाएगा या केवल औपचारिक मरम्मत कर मामले को शांत किया जाएगा।इस मामले पर लोक निर्माण विभाग (पीडब्ल्यूडी) के एस॰डी॰ओ रामभज तोमर ने सफाई देते हुए कहा कि टायरिंग के दौरान अचानक बारिश आ गई थी, जिसके चलते सड़क उखड़ गई। उन्होंने बताया कि निर्माण में सामग्री की गुणवत्ता अच्छी है और उखड़ी हुई सड़क को जल्द ही ठीक करवा दिया जाएगा।

The road, constructed from Bhungarni Indian Public School to Gurudwara Shri Dari Sahib, is in very poor condition. The gravel laid on the road has eroded in many places, exposing the old road underneath. The gravel scattered throughout the road is causing significant difficulties for pedestrians and motorists.

Locals say that if a road collapses in just one day of rain, it’s natural to question the quality of the construction work. They also questioned why the work was carried out during inclement weather and whether construction standards were followed. Now, residents of the area are concerned whether the road will be rebuilt properly or the matter will be hushed up with mere formal repairs. Public Works Department (PWD) SDO Rambhaj Tomar clarified the matter, stating that a sudden rainstorm during the tarring process caused the road to erode. He added that the quality of the construction materials was good and the eroded road would be repaired soon.
