Paonta Sahib: गोरखुवाला चौक का नाम बदला, अब ‘श्री हनुमान चौक’ के नाम से होगी पहचान…

पांवटा साहिब क्षेत्र के गोरखुवाला चौक का नाम बदलकर अब ‘श्री हनुमान चौक’ रख दिया गया है। यह निर्णय प्राचीन श्री हनुमान मंदिर सेवा समिति द्वारा सर्वसम्मति से लिया गया। समिति के प्रधान अंकुश चौधरी और सचिव राजेश कुमार की उपस्थिति में प्रस्ताव पारित किया गया। नाम परिवर्तन के उपलक्ष्य में आयोजित कार्यक्रम के दौरान निवर्तमान पंचायत प्रधान सुरेखा चौधरी ने विधिवत रूप से चौक का शुभारंभ किया। इस अवसर पर प्रसिद्ध कथावाचक आचार्य श्री प्रदीप सरस्वत सहित गणमान्य नागरिक और बड़ी संख्या में स्थानीय लोग उपस्थित रहे। कार्यक्रम के दौरान क्षेत्र में उत्साह और हर्ष का माहौल देखने को मिला।

समिति के सदस्यों ने बताया कि चौक के समीप स्थित प्राचीन हनुमान मंदिर और वहां नियमित रूप से आयोजित होने वाले धार्मिक कार्यक्रमों को ध्यान में रखते हुए यह नाम अधिक उपयुक्त माना गया। यह निर्णय स्थानीय लोगों की धार्मिक आस्था और जनभावनाओं के सम्मान में लिया गया है। गौरतलब है कि यह चौक क्षेत्र का एक प्रमुख और व्यस्त जंक्शन है। यहां से एक मार्ग पांवटा साहिब से राजपुर, डंडीवाला और अम्बोया की ओर जाता है, जबकि दूसरा मार्ग खोड़ोवाला, भंगानी, मेंहरूवाला, किल्लोड़ और डाकपत्थर क्षेत्रों को जोड़ता है। स्थानीय लोगों का मानना है कि चौक के नाम परिवर्तन से इसे नई पहचान मिलेगी और भविष्य में यह स्थान धार्मिक एवं सामाजिक दृष्टि से और अधिक महत्वपूर्ण बनकर उभरेगा।

Gorakhuwala Chowk in the Paonta Sahib area has been renamed “Shri Hanuman Chowk.” This decision was unanimously taken by the Prachin Shri Hanuman Mandir Seva Samiti. The resolution was passed in the presence of the committee’s president, Ankush Chaudhary, and secretary, Rajesh Kumar. During a ceremony to mark the renaming, outgoing Panchayat Pradhan Surekha Chaudhary formally inaugurated the Chowk. Renowned storyteller Acharya Shri Pradeep Saraswat, along with dignitaries and a large number of locals, were present. An atmosphere of excitement and joy pervaded the area during the event.

Committee members explained that the name was considered more appropriate considering the ancient Hanuman temple located near the Chowk and the regular religious events held there. This decision was made in respect of the religious beliefs and public sentiments of the local people. It is worth noting that this Chowk is a major and busy junction in the area. One route from Paonta Sahib leads to Rajpur, Dandiwala, and Amboya, while another route connects to Khodowala, Bhangani, Menhruwala, Killod, and Dakpathar areas. Local people believe that changing the name of the square will give it a new identity and in future this place will emerge as more important from religious and social point of view.
