पावंटा साहिब में अवैध पिस्टल और कारतूसों के साथ युवक गिरफ्तार

जिला सिरमौर में अवैध हथियारों की तस्करी के खिलाफ पुलिस ने कड़ा प्रहार किया है। SIU और साइबर सेल नाहन की संयुक्त टीम ने पुरुवाला थाना क्षेत्र के अंतर्गत एक युवक को अवैध पिस्टल और भारी मात्रा में जिंदा कारतूसों के साथ रंगे हाथों गिरफ्तार करने में सफलता प्राप्त की है। जानकारी के अनुसार पुलिस टीम को विश्वसनीय सूत्रों से सूचना मिली थी कि मेहरबान उर्फ अरबाज (22), निवासी मैहरुवाला (पांवटा साहिब), इलाके में अवैध पिस्टल और देसी कट्टों की खरीद-फरोख्त का काम करता है। सूचना में यह भी बताया गया कि आरोपी आपराधिक प्रवृत्ति का है और वर्तमान में भी उसके पास अवैध हथियार मौजूद है। जानकारी मिलते ही पुलिस टीम ने बिना समय गंवाए आरोपी के घर पर छापेमारी की।

तलाशी के दौरान पुलिस ने आरोपी के कब्जे से एक अवैध पिस्टल, दो मैगजीन और 8 जिंदा कारतूस (रौंद) बरामद किए। पुलिस अब यह पता लगाने में जुटी है कि आरोपी यह हथियार कहां से लाया था और इलाके में किसे सप्लाई करने वाला था। एस पी सिरमौर निश्चित सिंह नेगी ने मामले की पुस्टि करते हुए बताया कि पुरुवाला पुलिस ने आरोपी मेहरबान उर्फ अरबाज के खिलाफ आर्म्स एक्ट की धारा 25 और 30 के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया है। पुलिस मामले की गहनता से जांच कर रही है।

Superintendent of Police Sirmaur, Nishchay Singh Negi, confirmed the incident and said that Purwala police have registered a case against the accused, Meherban alias Arbaaz, under sections 25 and 30 of the Arms Act.
