राजधानी देहरादून में एक बार फिर तेज रफ्तार का खतरनाक खेल एक परिवार के लिए मा*तम का कारण बन गया। व्यस्ततम राजपुर रोड पर देर रात बाइक रेसिंग के दौरान हुए भीषण हादसे में एक युवक की मौत हो गई, जबकि दूसरा गंभीर रूप से घा*यल है। पुलिस ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए चार युवकों को गैर इरादतन हत्या के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया है।

घटना 27 फरवरी 2026 की रात की है। जानकारी के अनुसार, अकेता होटल के सामने राजपुर रोड पर दो मोटरसाइकिलों में सवार युवक तेज रफ्तार में एक-दूसरे से रेस लगा रहे थे। इसी दौरान उनकी बाइकों ने रेपिडो वाहन (यूके-17-जैड-5912) को जोरदार टक्कर मार दी। हादसे में रेपिडो सवार अंकित पाल (निवासी सेवला खुर्द, चंद्रबनी मोहब्बेवाला) गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए। उन्हें तत्काल अस्पताल पहुंचाया गया, जहां डॉक्टरों ने मृत घोषित कर दिया। रेपिडो चालक की हालत भी नाजुक बनी हुई है।

जांच के दौरान सामने आए सीसीटीवी फुटेज ने पूरी घटना की तस्वीर स्पष्ट कर दी। फुटेज में दिखाई दिया कि एक बाइक ने पहले रेपिडो को टक्कर मारी, जिससे सवार सड़क पर गिर पड़े। इसके तुरंत बाद दूसरी बाइक सवार युवक ने गिरे हुए युवक के ऊपर से ही बाइक चढ़ा दी, जिससे चोटें और गंभीर हो गईं।

पुलिस पूछताछ में आरोपियों ने स्वीकार किया कि वे आपस में रेस लगा रहे थे और पीछे बैठे साथी उन्हें और तेज चलाने के लिए उकसा रहे थे। मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए पुलिस ने प्रारंभ में दर्ज धाराओं में संशोधन कर गैर इरादतन हत्या की धारा जोड़ दी।

गिरफ्तार आरोपियों में प्रांजल रमोला, अभिषेक बडोनी, लोकेंद्र उर्फ लोकेश और सुमित राठौड़ी शामिल हैं। पुलिस का कहना है कि सड़क पर स्टंट और रेसिंग करने वालों के खिलाफ आगे भी सख्त कार्रवाई जारी रहेगी।

A late-night bike racing incident on the busy Rajpur Road claimed the life of a young man, while another remains critically injured. Police have swiftly arrested four youths on charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

The incident occurred on the night of February 27, 2026. According to information, two motorcycles were racing each other at high speed near Aketa Hotel on Rajpur Road. During the race, the bikes collided with a Rapido vehicle (UK-17-Z-5912).

In the accident, Rapido rider Ankit Pal (resident of Sevla Khurd, Chandrabani Mohabbewala) sustained critical injuries. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The Rapido driver is also in serious condition.

CCTV footage obtained during the investigation clearly revealed the sequence of events. The footage shows that one motorcycle first hit the Rapido vehicle, causing the rider to fall onto the road. Moments later, the second motorcyclist ran over the fallen victim, worsening his injuries.

During interrogation, the accused admitted that they were racing each other and that the pillion riders were instigating them to speed up. Considering the gravity of the incident, police amended the initial charges and added the section of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

The arrested accused have been identified as Pranjal Ramola, Abhishek Badoni, Lokendra alias Lokesh, and Sumit Rathauri. Police stated that strict action will continue against those engaging in reckless racing and stunts on public roads.
