हरिद्वार महाकुंभ 2027 को लेकर दिल्ली में अहम बैठक, सीएम धामी ने केंद्र से मांगी 408 करोड़ की मंजूरी

हरिद्वार में वर्ष 2027 में प्रस्तावित महाकुंभ की तैयारियों को लेकर उत्तराखण्ड सरकार ने केंद्र स्तर पर कवायद तेज कर दी है। मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने सोमवार को नई दिल्ली में केंद्रीय जल शक्ति मंत्री सी. आर. पाटिल से मुलाकात कर महाकुंभ से जुड़ी व्यवस्थाओं और गंगा संरक्षण परियोजनाओं पर विस्तृत चर्चा की।

बैठक के दौरान मुख्यमंत्री ने वर्ष 2027 में जनवरी से अप्रैल तक आयोजित होने वाले हरिद्वार महाकुंभ के सफल एवं सुव्यवस्थित आयोजन के लिए राष्ट्रीय स्वच्छ गंगा मिशन (National Mission for Clean Ganga) के अंतर्गत प्रस्तावित ₹408.82 करोड़ की परियोजनाओं को शीघ्र स्वीकृति प्रदान करने का आग्रह किया। उन्होंने कहा कि महाकुंभ में देश-विदेश से करोड़ों श्रद्धालुओं के आगमन की संभावना है, ऐसे में गंगा की स्वच्छता, निर्मलता और अविरलता सुनिश्चित करना राज्य और केंद्र दोनों की प्राथमिक जिम्मेदारी है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने बाढ़ सुरक्षा से जुड़े ₹253 करोड़ के प्रस्तावों को मंजूरी देने के साथ ही जल जीवन मिशन के तहत अतिरिक्त धनराशि जारी करने का अनुरोध भी किया। इसके अलावा इकबालपुर नहर प्रणाली, कनखल और जगजीतपुर नहर की क्षमता विस्तार से संबंधित परियोजनाओं को भी प्राथमिकता देने की बात कही।

सरकार के अनुसार, इन परियोजनाओं के पूर्ण होने पर 665 क्यूसेक अतिरिक्त जल उपलब्ध हो सकेगा, जिससे हरिद्वार जिले के भगवानपुर और लक्सर क्षेत्र की लगभग 13 हजार हेक्टेयर भूमि को सिंचाई सुविधा मिलने का अनुमान है। साथ ही पेयजल आपूर्ति व्यवस्था को भी मजबूती मिलेगी।

मुख्यमंत्री ने विश्वास जताया कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के मार्गदर्शन और केंद्र सरकार के सहयोग से हरिद्वार महाकुंभ 2027 को दिव्य, भव्य और ऐतिहासिक स्वरूप प्रदान किया जाएगा तथा गंगा संरक्षण के लक्ष्य को नई दिशा मिलेगी।

The Uttarakhand government has intensified its efforts at the central level regarding preparations for the proposed Haridwar Mahakumbh in 2027. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Union Jal Shakti Minister C. R. Patil in New Delhi on Monday to hold detailed discussions on arrangements related to the Mahakumbh and various Ganga conservation projects.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister urged for the early approval of projects worth ₹408.82 crore under the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) to ensure the successful and well-organized conduct of the Haridwar Mahakumbh, scheduled from January to April 2027. He stated that crores of devotees from across the country and abroad are expected to attend the grand religious event, making it a top priority to maintain the cleanliness, purity, and uninterrupted flow of the Ganga.

The Chief Minister also sought approval for flood protection proposals amounting to ₹253 crore and requested the release of additional funds under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Additionally, he emphasized prioritizing projects related to the expansion of the Iqbalpur canal system, and the capacity enhancement of the Kankhal and Jagjeetpur canals.

According to the government, upon completion of these projects, an additional 665 cusecs of water will be made available, benefiting approximately 13,000 hectares of agricultural land in Bhagwanpur and Laksar areas of Haridwar district. The projects are also expected to strengthen the region’s drinking water supply system.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and with the support of the Central Government, Haridwar Mahakumbh 2027 will be organized in a grand, divine, and historic manner, further strengthening the mission of Ganga conservation.
