उत्तराखंड में बढ़ते अपराधों के बीच राजधानी देहरादून एक बार फिर सनसनीखेज वारदात से दहल उठा। राजपुर रोड स्थित Silver City Mall में शुक्रवार सुबह जिम से बाहर निकल रहे एक युवक की सिर में गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी गई। हमलावर वारदात को अंजाम देकर मौके से फरार हो गए, जबकि युवक का शव मॉल की सीढ़ियों पर पड़ा मिला।

चौंकाने वाली बात यह है कि घटना स्थल एसएसपी आवास से महज कुछ सौ मीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है। ऐसे में शहर की कानून-व्यवस्था और सुरक्षा व्यवस्था को लेकर गंभीर प्रश्न खड़े हो गए हैं। बीते एक माह में देहरादून में पांच ह*त्याओं की घटनाएं सामने आ चुकी हैं, जिससे आमजन में भय और आक्रोश का माहौल है।

मृतक की पहचान विक्रम शर्मा के रूप में हुई है, जो प्रॉपर्टी डीलिंग का कार्य करते थे। हालांकि पुलिस की ओर से आधिकारिक पुष्टि अभी शेष है। प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, विक्रम जैसे ही जिम से बाहर निकले, तभी तीन अज्ञात युवक वहां पहुंचे और बेहद करीब से फायर झोंक दिया। गोली सिर में लगते ही वह मौके पर गिर पड़े। अचानक हुई फायरिंग से मॉल परिसर में अफरातफरी मच गई और लोग इधर-उधर भागने लगे।

घटना की सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस बल मौके पर पहुंचा। एसएसपी Ajay Singh स्वयं घटनास्थल पर पहुंचे और जांच का जिम्मा संभाला। फोरेंसिक टीम ने साक्ष्य एकत्र किए हैं, जबकि आसपास लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरों की फुटेज खंगाली जा रही है।

प्रारंभिक जांच में हत्या को सुनियोजित बताया जा रहा है। पुलिस रंजिश, कारोबारी विवाद समेत विभिन्न पहलुओं पर जांच कर रही है। अधिकारियों का कहना है कि आरोपियों की जल्द पहचान कर उन्हें गिरफ्तार किया जाएगा और किसी भी दोषी को बख्शा नहीं जाएगा।

राजधानी के व्यस्ततम इलाके में दिनदहाड़े हुई इस वारदात ने न केवल सुरक्षा व्यवस्था पर सवाल खड़े किए हैं, बल्कि आम नागरिकों के मन में असुरक्षा की भावना भी गहरा दी है।

Amid rising crime in Uttarakhand, the state capital Dehradun was once again shaken by a sensational incident. On Friday morning, a young man was shot dead outside Silver City Mall on Rajpur Road while he was stepping out of a gym. The assailants fled the scene after carrying out the attack, leaving the victim’s body lying on the mall’s staircase.

What is particularly alarming is that the crime scene is located just a few hundred meters from the official residence of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP). This has raised serious concerns about the city’s law and order situation and overall security arrangements. In the past month alone, five murder cases have been reported in Dehradun, creating an atmosphere of fear and anger among residents.

The deceased has been identified as Vikram Sharma, who was reportedly involved in property dealing. However, official confirmation from the police is still awaited. According to eyewitnesses, as Vikram stepped out of the gym, three unidentified men approached him and opened fire at close range. He collapsed on the spot after being shot in the head. The sudden firing caused chaos in the mall premises, with people running for safety.

Upon receiving information about the incident, police teams rushed to the spot. Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh personally reached the scene and took charge of the investigation. A forensic team has collected evidence, and CCTV footage from nearby cameras is being examined.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the murder was premeditated. Police are probing various angles, including personal enmity and business rivalry. Officials have stated that the accused will be identified and arrested soon, and no culprit will be spared.

The broad daylight killing in one of the capital’s busiest areas has not only raised serious questions about security arrangements but has also deepened the sense of insecurity among citizens.
