देहरादून दहला: तिब्बती मार्केट के पास दिनदहाड़े गोली मारकर गैस एजेंसी मालिक की हत्या, 10 दिन में दूसरी वारदात

देहरादून शहर में कानून-व्यवस्था पर सवाल खड़े करते हुए बुधवार सुबह दिनदहाड़े एक 42 वर्षीय व्यवसायी की गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी गई। घटना शहर के व्यस्त तिब्बती मार्केट क्षेत्र के पास हुई, जिससे इलाके में सनसनी फैल गई।

नगर पुलिस अधीक्षक प्रमोद कुमार के अनुसार, बसंत विहार थाना क्षेत्र के इंदिरा नगर निवासी अर्जुन शर्मा सुबह करीब 10:30 बजे अपनी कार के पास खड़े थे। इसी दौरान स्कूटी सवार दो अज्ञात बदमाश वहां पहुंचे और उन पर ताबड़तोड़ गोलियां चला दीं। वारदात को अंजाम देने के बाद आरोपी मौके से फरार हो गए।

घटना की सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी मौके पर पहुंचे और घटनास्थल का निरीक्षण कर अधीनस्थ अधिकारियों को आवश्यक दिशा-निर्देश दिए। गंभीर रूप से घायल अर्जुन शर्मा को तत्काल दून अस्पताल पहुंचाया गया, जहां चिकित्सकों ने उन्हें मृत घोषित कर दिया।

प्रारंभिक जांच में सामने आया है कि मृतक अमरदीप गैस एजेंसी के संचालक थे और पारिवारिक व्यवसाय को लेकर उनके परिवार में विवाद चल रहा था। पुलिस के अनुसार, इसी विवाद के चलते उनकी मां ने उत्तराखंड उच्च न्यायालय से यह कहते हुए सुरक्षा प्राप्त की थी कि उनके बेटे को जान का खतरा है।नगर पुलिस अधीक्षक ने बताया कि आरोपियों की गिरफ्तारी के लिए वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक अजय सिंह के निर्देश पर विशेष टीमें गठित कर दी गई हैं। जिलेभर में सघन चेकिंग अभियान चलाया जा रहा है और सीसीटीवी फुटेज खंगाले जा रहे हैं।

उल्लेखनीय है कि महज दस दिनों के भीतर देहरादून में हत्या की यह दूसरी बड़ी घटना है। इससे पूर्व 2 फरवरी को मच्छी बाजार क्षेत्र में एक युवक ने कथित रूप से 22 वर्षीय युवती की धारदार हथियार से गला रेतकर हत्या कर दी थी।लगातार हो रही आपराधिक घटनाओं से शहरवासियों में दहशत का माहौल है और सुरक्षा व्यवस्था को लेकर चिंता बढ़ती जा रही है।

Raising serious questions about law and order in Dehradun, a 42-year-old businessman was shot dead in broad daylight on Wednesday morning. The incident took place near the busy Tibetan Market area, triggering panic in the locality.

According to City Superintendent of Police (SP City) Pramod Kumar, Arjun Sharma, a resident of Indira Nagar under Basant Vihar police station limits, was standing near his car at around 10:30 am when two unidentified assailants arrived on a scooter and opened fire at him. After carrying out the attack, the accused fled the scene.

Senior police officials rushed to the spot upon receiving information and inspected the crime scene, issuing necessary instructions to the officers present. Sharma, who was critically injured, was immediately taken to Doon Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the deceased was the operator of Amardeep Gas Agency and was reportedly involved in a family dispute over the business. According to police, amid the ongoing conflict, his mother had approached the Uttarakhand High Court seeking security, stating that her son’s life was under threat.

The SP City stated that, on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ajay Singh, special teams have been formed to nab the accused. Intensive checking operations are being conducted across the district, and CCTV footage is being examined.

Notably, this is the second major murder in Dehradun within just ten days. Earlier, on February 2, a 22-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by a युवक who slit her throat with a sharp-edged weapon in the Machhi Bazaar area.

The consecutive criminal incidents have created an atmosphere of fear among residents, raising growing concerns over the city’s security arrangements.
