खटीमा विंटर कार्निवाल में मुख्यमंत्री धामी का बड़ा संदेश—युवा संस्कृति और विकास की धुरी

खटीमा स्थित हेमवंती नंदन बहुगुणा राजकीय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय में छात्र संघ द्वारा आयोजित विंटर कार्निवाल का शुभारंभ मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने दीप प्रज्ज्वलन कर किया। इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री ने छात्र संघ के नवनिर्वाचित पदाधिकारियों को उनके सफल कार्यकाल के लिए शुभकामनाएं दीं।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि छात्र संघ द्वारा पहली बार विंटर कार्निवाल के अंतर्गत भजन क्लंबिंग जैसे आध्यात्मिक और सांस्कृतिक आयोजन की शुरुआत सराहनीय पहल है। यह आयोजन हमारी सनातन संस्कृति, लोक परंपराओं और युवा चेतना के समन्वय का प्रतीक है। उन्होंने कहा कि ऐसे कार्यक्रम यह दर्शाते हैं कि आज का युवा आधुनिकता के साथ अपनी सांस्कृतिक जड़ों से भी मजबूती से जुड़ा हुआ है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने विश्वास जताया कि कार्यक्रम का संचालन करने वाले छात्र-छात्राएं भविष्य में राज्य और देश के नेतृत्वकर्ता बनेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि खटीमा उनके लिए केवल एक विधानसभा क्षेत्र नहीं, बल्कि कर्मभूमि और पहचान है। खटीमा की मिट्टी ने उन्हें सेवा का संस्कार दिया है और यही कारण है कि यहां का हर गांव और हर गली उनके दिल के करीब है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि सरकार ने खटीमा में स्वास्थ्य, शिक्षा, पेयजल और बुनियादी ढांचे को मजबूत करने के लिए निरंतर ठोस कदम उठाए हैं। गदरपुर-खटीमा बाईपास, नौसर पुल निर्माण और सड़क नेटवर्क के विस्तार से क्षेत्र की कनेक्टिविटी को बेहतर बनाया गया है। साथ ही खटीमा में केंद्रीय विद्यालय और चकरपुर में राष्ट्रीय स्तर के आधुनिक खेल स्टेडियम का निर्माण कराया गया है।

उन्होंने बताया कि खटीमा में आधुनिक आईटीआई, पॉलीटेक्निक कॉलेज और 100 बेड के नए अस्पताल परिसर का निर्माण किया गया है। विद्यार्थियों के लिए साथी केंद्र की स्थापना के साथ औद्योगिक विकास को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सिडकुल की स्थापना की गई है। इसके अलावा खटीमा-टनकपुर मार्ग पर एक भव्य सैन्य स्मारक का निर्माण भी शीघ्र प्रारंभ होगा।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि पंतनगर में अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर के हवाई अड्डे के निर्माण की दिशा में सरकार प्रतिबद्ध है। राजकीय महाविद्यालय खटीमा में एमकॉम और एमएससी की कक्षाएं शुरू की गई हैं, वहीं जनजातीय क्षेत्रों में एकलव्य विद्यालय का संचालन भी प्रारंभ किया गया है। जमरानी बांध परियोजना के पुनः आरंभ से तराई क्षेत्र की पेयजल और सिंचाई समस्या के समाधान का मार्ग प्रशस्त होगा। इसके साथ ही एम्स के सेटेलाइट सेंटर और खुरपिया में इंडस्ट्रियल स्मार्ट सिटी के माध्यम से क्षेत्रीय विकास को नई गति देने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है।

कार्यक्रम से पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री ने खटीमा में पूर्व जिला पंचायत सदस्य राम सिंह जेठी के आवास पहुंचकर उनकी पत्नी के निधन पर शोक व्यक्त किया। इसके अलावा ढील्लू सिंह राणा और जशोधर भट्ट के निधन पर उनके आवास पर पहुंचकर भी शोक संवेदनाएं प्रकट कीं।

The Winter Carnival organized by the Students’ Union at Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Government Postgraduate College, Khateema, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami by lighting the ceremonial lamp. On the occasion, the Chief Minister extended his best wishes to the newly elected office bearers of the Students’ Union for a successful tenure.

The Chief Minister said that the introduction of spiritual and cultural events like Bhajan Climbing under the Winter Carnival for the first time is a commendable initiative. Such programs symbolize the confluence of Sanatan culture, folk traditions, and youthful consciousness. He noted that these events reflect how today’s youth remain firmly connected to their cultural roots while embracing modernity.

Expressing confidence, the Chief Minister said that the students who conducted the program would go on to become future leaders of the state and the nation. He described Khateema not merely as a constituency but as his karmabhoomi and identity, stating that the soil of Khateema instilled in him the values of public service, which is why every village and street of the area is close to his heart.

The Chief Minister said that the government has taken consistent and concrete steps to strengthen healthcare, education, drinking water supply, and infrastructure in Khateema. Projects such as the Gadarpur–Khateema bypass, the Nausar bridge, and the expansion of the road network have significantly improved regional connectivity. In addition, a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Khateema and a national-level modern sports stadium in Chakarpur have been established.

He further informed that an advanced ITI, a polytechnic college, and a new 100-bed hospital complex have been constructed in Khateema. To support students, the Saathi Kendra has been set up, and to accelerate industrial growth, SIDCUL has been established. A grand military memorial on the Khateema–Tanakpur route will also be constructed, with work to begin soon.

The Chief Minister said the government is committed to the construction of an international-level airport in Pantnagar. Postgraduate classes in M.Com and M.Sc have been started at the Government College in Khateema, and Eklavya Model Residential Schools have begun functioning in tribal-dominated areas. The resumption of the Jamrani multipurpose dam project will pave the way for resolving drinking water and irrigation issues in the Terai region. Along with this, efforts are being made to accelerate regional development through the establishment of an AIIMS satellite center and an Industrial Smart City in Khurpia.

Prior to the program, the Chief Minister visited the residence of former district panchayat member Ram Singh Jethi in Khateema to express condolences on the demise of his wife. He also visited the homes of Dhillu Singh Rana and Jashodhar Bhatt to convey his condolences to the bereaved families.
