जिला सिरमौर में 108 आपातकालीन सेवा इन दिनों “जीवनदायिनी” की मिसाल बन चुकी है। शिलाई और राजपुर के बाद, आज बुधवार सुबह नाहन में भी 108 कर्मियों ने अपनी तत्परता दिखाते हुए एम्बुलेंस के भीतर ही सफल प्रसव करवाया। यह जिले में पिछले कुछ ही समय के भीतर सामने आया तीसरा बड़ा मामला है, जिसने विभाग की कार्यकुशलता पर मुहर लगा दी है। ताजा मामले के अनुसार, शिलाई क्षेत्र की 22 वर्षीय मीनाक्षी को पांवटा साहिब अस्पताल से नाहन मेडिकल कॉलेज रेफर किया गया था। यह उनका पहला प्रसव था और स्थिति काफी नाजुक थी। 108 एम्बुलेंस के EMT नरेश चौधरी और पायलट संजय महिला को लेकर नाहन अस्पताल पहुंचे ही थे कि मेडिकल कॉलेज के गेट के समीप प्रसव पीड़ा असहनीय हो गई।अस्पताल के भीतर ले जाने का समय न देख, EMT नरेश चौधरी ने तुरंत मोर्चा संभाला और एम्बुलेंस में ही सुरक्षित प्रसव करवाया।

मीनाक्षी ने एक स्वस्थ सुंदर बेटे को जन्म दिया है। फिलहाल जच्चा और बच्चा दोनों मेडिकल कॉलेज नाहन में सुरक्षित हैं। लगातार सामने आ रहे इन मामलों ने साबित कर दिया है कि 108 एम्बुलेंस कर्मी केवल चालक या सहायक नहीं, बल्कि दुर्गम क्षेत्रों में मरीजों के लिए भगवान का रूप हैं।स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि 108 एम्बुलेंस कर्मी लंबे समय से बेहद कम वेतन और अनिश्चित भविष्य के बीच अपनी सेवाएं दे रहे हैं। क्षेत्रवासियों का कहना है कि सीमित संसाधनों और कम वेतन के बावजूद ये कर्मी जिस निष्ठा से अपनी ड्यूटी निभा रहे हैं, वह काबिले तारीफ है। इसलिए, सरकार को इन जांबाज कर्मचारियों के लिए उचित वेतन मान, नौकरी की सुरक्षा और विशेष प्रोत्साहन राशि सुनिश्चित करनी चाहिए, ताकि इनका मनोबल बना रहे।

According to the latest case, 22-year-old Meenakshi from the Shillai area was referred from Paonta Sahib Hospital to Nahan Medical College. It was her first delivery, and the situation was quite critical. As 108 ambulance EMT Naresh Chaudhary and pilot Sanjay were arriving at Nahan hospital with the woman, she experienced unbearable labor pains near the medical college gate. Without wasting any time, EMT Naresh Chaudhary immediately took charge and safely delivered the baby inside the ambulance.

Meenakshi has given birth to a healthy baby boy. Both mother and child are currently safe at the Nahan Medical College. These recurring incidents have proven that the 108 ambulance personnel are not just drivers or assistants, but saviors for patients in remote areas. Local residents say that the 108 ambulance staff have been providing their services for a long time despite very low wages and job insecurity.
