जिला सिरमौर के रोनहाट क्षेत्र में रविवार को एक हृदयविदारक सड़क हादसा पेश आया है। यहाँ एक ऑल्टो कार (HP 85-0428) अनियंत्रित होकर सड़क से करीब फीट नीचे तालाब खाला नामक गहरी खाई में जा गिरी। इस दर्दनाक हादसे में 18 वर्षीय युवक की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई, जबकि दो अन्य युवक गंभीर रूप से घायल हुए हैं। प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार, कार रोनहाट से शिलाई की ओर जा रही थी। जैसे ही वाहन तालाब खाला के पास पहुँचा, चालक ने गाड़ी पर से नियंत्रण खो दिया। बताया जा रहा है कि कार पहले पहाड़ी से टकराई और उस दौरान चालक संतराम (निवासी झकांडों) झटके से बाहर गिर गया, जिससे उसकी जान बच गई। लेकिन कार अनियंत्रित होकर गहरी खाई में जा गिरी, जिसमें तीन युवक सवार थे।

इस हादसे में कुलदीप सिंह (18 वर्ष), पुत्र जीत सिंह, निवासी गांव शरोग (डाकघर कांडो भटनोल) की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। वहीं, उनके साथ कार में सवार 21 वर्षीय रघुवीर सिंह (पुत्र संतराम, निवासी गांव झकांडों) और 17 वर्षीय प्रकाश सिंह (पुत्र सायबू राम, निवासी गांव मुंडियाड) भी बुरी तरह घायल हुए हैं। हादसे के तुरंत बाद स्थानीय लोगों ने राहत कार्य शुरू किया और घायलों को खाई से बाहर निकाला।गंभीर रूप से घायल दोनों युवकों को प्राथमिक उपचार के लिए तुरंत शिलाई अस्पताल ले जाया गया। वहाँ डॉक्टरों ने उनकी नाजुक स्थिति को देखते हुए प्राथमिक चिकित्सा प्रदान की और फिर बेहतर इलाज के लिए उन्हें पीजीआई (PGI) चंडीगढ़ रेफर कर दिया है। एसपी सिरमौर निश्चित सिंह नेगी ने घटना की पुस्टि करते हुए बताया कि फिलहाल, पुलिस ने घटना का संज्ञान लेते हुए मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और दुर्घटना के कारणों की बारीकी से जांच की जा रही है।

A heartbreaking road accident occurred on Sunday in the Ronhat area of Sirmaur district. An Alto car (HP 85-0428) went out of control and plunged into a deep gorge called Talab Khala, approximately 100 feet below the road. An 18-year-old young man died on the spot in this tragic accident, while two other young men sustained serious injuries. According to reports, the car was traveling from Ronhat towards Shillai. As the vehicle reached Talab Khala, the driver lost control. It is reported that the car first hit a hillside, and during this impact, the driver, Santram (a resident of Jhakando), was thrown out of the vehicle, thus saving his life. However, the car, with three young men inside, then plunged into the deep gorge.

In this accident, Kuldeep Singh (18 years old), son of Jeet Singh, a resident of Sharog village (Kando Bhatnol post office), died on the spot. Two other occupants of the car, 21-year-old Raghuveer Singh (son of Santram, resident of Jhakando village) and 17-year-old Prakash Singh (son of Saybu Ram, resident of Mundiad village), were also seriously injured. Immediately after the accident, local residents started rescue operations and pulled the injured out of the ravine. The two seriously injured youths were immediately taken to Shilayi Hospital for first aid. There, doctors provided initial treatment considering their critical condition and then referred them to PGI (Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research) Chandigarh for better treatment. SP Sirmaur, Nishant Singh Negi, confirmed the incident and stated that the police have registered a case and are thoroughly investigating the causes of the accident.
