जिला सिरमौर पुलिस ने बिना वैध दस्तावेजों के भारत में रह रही उज़्बेकिस्तान की एक महिला को गिरफ्तार किया है। यह कार्रवाई पुलिस थाना सदर नाहन की टीम द्वारा की गई है। यह मामला वीरवार की देर रात उस समय सामने आया जब नाहन पुलिस को 112 हेल्पलाइन के माध्यम से एक संदिग्ध वाहन के बारे में सूचना मिली। सूचना के आधार पर पुलिस दल ने शक्तिनगर से आगे कैंची मोड़ और जोगनवाली लिंक रोड पर तलाशी अभियान चलाया। वहां पुलिस को एक उत्तर प्रदेश नंबर की गाड़ी (UP16EF-7194) सड़क किनारे नाली में फंसी हुई मिली। जब पुलिस ने गाड़ी की जांच की, तो उसमें एक पुरुष और एक विदेशी महिला सवार थे। वाहन की चालक सीट पर बैठे व्यक्ति की पहचान सैफ क्वेजिलबाश के रूप में हुई, जो ग्रेटर नोएडा (उत्तर प्रदेश) का निवासी है। उसके साथ बैठी महिला ने अपनी पहचान उज़्बेकिस्तान की नागरिक के रूप में बताई।

जब पुलिस ने महिला से भारत में रहने के लिए आवश्यक कानूनी दस्तावेज मांगे, तो वह न तो वैध पासपोर्ट पेश कर सकी और न ही भारत का वीजा। दस्तावेजों की अनुपलब्धता के कारण मामला संदिग्ध हो गया और पुलिस ने तुरंत दोनों को हिरासत में ले लिया। एसपी सिरमौर निश्चित सिंह नेगी में मामले की पुस्टि करते हुए बताया कि पुलिस थाना नाहन में महिला के विरुद्ध धारा 14, फॉरेनर्स एक्ट के तहत अभियोग दर्ज किया गया है। पुलिस ने महिला को हिरासत में ले लिया है और मामले की गहन जांच की जा रही है। पुलिस का कहना है कि जांच के दौरान यह भी पता लगाया जा रहा है कि महिला कब और किस माध्यम से भारत में प्रवेश की तथा वह कितने समय से बिना वैध दस्तावेजों के रह रही थी। मामले से जुड़े अन्य पहलुओं की भी छानबीन जारी है।

The Sirmaur district police have arrested a woman from Uzbekistan who was residing in India without valid documents. The action was taken by a team from the Sadar Nahan police station. The incident came to light late Thursday night when the Nahan police received information about a suspicious vehicle through the 112 helpline. Based on the information, a police team launched a search operation near Kanchi Mor and Joganwali Link Road, beyond Shaktinagar. There, the police found a vehicle with a Uttar Pradesh license plate (UP16EF-7194) stuck in a ditch by the roadside. When the police inspected the vehicle, they found a man and a foreign woman inside. The man in the driver’s seat was identified as Saif Qazilbash, a resident of Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The woman accompanying him identified herself as a citizen of Uzbekistan.

When the police asked the woman for the necessary legal documents to reside in India, she could not produce either a valid passport or an Indian visa. The lack of documents raised suspicions, and the police immediately took both individuals into custody. Superintendent of Police, Sirmaur, Nishant Singh Negi, confirmed the incident, stating that a case has been registered against the woman under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act at the Nahan police station. The woman has been taken into custody, and a thorough investigation is underway. The police stated that the investigation will also determine when and how the woman entered India and how long she had been residing in the country without valid documents. Other aspects of the case are also being investigated.
