जिला सिरमौर में बच्चों की सुरक्षा और उनके अधिकारों को लेकर चाइल्ड हेल्पलाइन सिरमौर की टीम द्वारा गुरु नानक पब्लिक स्कूल, जगतपुर का दौरा किया गया। इस अवसर पर विद्यालय में बच्चों के लिए एक विशेष जागरूकता सत्र का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम के दौरान चाइल्ड हेल्पलाइन के केस वर्कर्स राजेंद्र सिंह एवं करन चौहान ने विद्यार्थियों को चाइल्ड हेल्पलाइन 1098 की सेवाओं, इसके सही उपयोग तथा दुरुपयोग न करने के महत्व के बारे में विस्तार से जानकारी दी। उन्होंने हेल्पलाइन की कार्यप्रणाली को सरल भाषा में समझाते हुए बताया कि कॉल प्राप्त होने के बाद 60 मिनट के भीतर कार्रवाई की जाती है तथा समस्या के समाधान तक निरंतर फॉलो-अप किया जाता है।

इसके साथ ही बच्चों को जेजे एक्ट के अंतर्गत आने वाले CNCP (Care and Protection की आवश्यकता वाले बच्चे) एवं CCL (कानून से संघर्षरत बच्चे) के बारे में भी जानकारी दी गई। वहीं, पॉक्सो एक्ट 2012 के तहत बच्चों को अच्छा स्पर्श और बुरा स्पर्श के बीच अंतर समझाकर उन्हें सतर्क रहने के लिए प्रेरित किया गया। कार्यक्रम के सफल आयोजन में विद्यालय प्रशासन का सराहनीय सहयोग रहा। सत्र में विद्यालय की प्रधानाचार्या एवं प्रबंध निदेशक (एमडी) भी उपस्थित रहे। अंत में उन्होंने चाइल्ड हेल्पलाइन सिरमौर की टीम का आभार व्यक्त करते हुए इस तरह के कार्यक्रमों को बच्चों के लिए अत्यंत उपयोगी बताया।

Child Helpline Sirmaur’s initiative: Essential safety lessons taught to children of Guru Nanak Public School, Jagatpur.

The Child Helpline Sirmaur team visited Guru Nanak Public School, Jagatpur, in Sirmaur district to address the safety and rights of children. A special awareness session was organized for the students at the school. During the program, Child Helpline case workers Rajendra Singh and Karan Chauhan provided detailed information to the students about the services offered by Child Helpline 1098, emphasizing its proper use and the importance of not misusing it. They explained the helpline’s functioning in simple terms, stating that action is taken within 60 minutes of receiving a call and continuous follow-up is maintained until the problem is resolved.

Along with this, children were also given information about CNCP (Children in Need of Care and Protection) and CCL (Children in Conflict with the Law) under the Juvenile Justice Act. Furthermore, under the POCSO Act 2012, children were taught the difference between good touch and bad touch and encouraged to be vigilant. The school administration provided commendable support in the successful organization of the program. The school principal and managing director were also present during the session. Finally, they expressed their gratitude to the Child Helpline Sirmaur team and stated that such programs are extremely useful for children.
