जिला सिरमौर में 108 एम्बुलेंस कर्मी लगातार मानवता की मिसाल पेश कर रही है। एक दिन पहले शिलाई क्षेत्र में जटिल प्रसव के बाद, आज राजपुर क्षेत्र में भी 108 कर्मियों ने अत्यंत जोखिम भरे हालात में माँ और नवजातों की जान बचाकर अपनी कार्यकुशलता साबित की है। जानकारी के अनुसार, राजपुर 108 एम्बुलेंस (वाहन नंबर HP-64A-9164 ) को सुबह 04:09 बजे अंबोया गांव से कॉल प्राप्त हुई। यह कॉल महिला के पति अमित कुमार ने 108 पर की थी। मरीज 25 वर्षीय शिवानी, जो 7 माह की गर्भवती थी, को अस्पताल ले जाया जा रहा था। एम्बुलेंस में तैनात EMT वीरेंद्र परमार और पायलट यूसुफ अली महिला को लेकर अस्पताल की ओर रवाना हुए, लेकिन रास्ते में ही महिला को तेज़ प्रसव पीड़ा शुरू हो गई। हालात को गंभीरता से समझते हुए EMT ने तुरंत मौके पर ही आवश्यक चिकित्सीय प्रक्रिया शुरू की। करीब 05:30 बजे सुबह, एम्बुलेंस में ही जुड़वां बच्चों का प्रसव करवाना पड़ा। यह डिलीवरी बेहद जटिल थी क्योंकि एक बच्चा सामान्य स्थिति में था, जबकि दूसरा बच्चा उल्टा (ब्रीच पोज़िशन) था और बच्चों के गले में नाल लिपटी हुई थी। इसके बावजूद 108 कर्मियों की सूझबूझ और प्रशिक्षण से दोनों नवजात सुरक्षित पैदा हुए।

सफल प्रसव के बाद माँ और दोनों बच्चों को सुरक्षित रूप से पावंटा साहिब अस्पताल पहुंचाया गया, जहां चिकित्सकों ने तीनों की हालत स्थिर बताई। डिलीवरी के बाद महिला के पति और साथ आए परिजनों ने 108 एम्बुलेंस कर्मियों का आभार जताया। गौरतलब है कि एक दिन पहले ही शिलाई क्षेत्र में भी 108 एम्बुलेंस कर्मियों ने इसी तरह एक हाई-रिस्क केस में रास्ते में सुरक्षित डिलीवरी करवाई थी, जिसमें उल्टे बच्चे के बावजूद माँ और नवजात को सुरक्षित बचाया गया। लगातार दो दिनों में सामने आए इन मामलों ने साबित कर दिया है कि 108 एम्बुलेंस सेवा दूरदराज़ क्षेत्रों में आम लोगों के लिए जीवन रेखा बनी हुई है। स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि ऐसे कर्मी सीमित संसाधनों और कठिन परिस्थितियों में भी अपनी ड्यूटी पूरी निष्ठा से निभा रहे हैं, इसलिए सरकार और संबंधित विभागों को चाहिए कि 108 कर्मचारियों को समय पर सुविधाएं, सुरक्षा और उचित सम्मान सुनिश्चित किया जाए।

Following a complicated delivery in the Shillai area a day earlier, 108 personnel in the Rajpur area today also proved their efficiency by saving the lives of a mother and newborn in extremely risky circumstances. According to reports, the Rajpur 108 ambulance (vehicle number HP-64A-9164) received a call from Amboya village at 4:09 am. The call was made by the woman’s husband, Amit Kumar. The patient, 25-year-old Shivani, who was seven months pregnant, was being taken to the hospital. EMT Virendra Parmar and pilot Yusuf Ali, deployed with the ambulance, rushed to the hospital, but she began experiencing severe labor pains on the way. Recognizing the severity of the situation, the EMTs immediately initiated the necessary medical procedures on site. At around 5:30 am, the twins had to be delivered in the ambulance. This delivery was extremely complicated, as one baby was in a normal position, while the other was in a breech position, with the umbilical cord wrapped around their necks. Despite this, the presence of mind and training of the 108 staff ensured the safe delivery of both babies.

Following the successful delivery, the mother and both babies were safely transported to Paonta Sahib Hospital, where doctors declared their condition stable. Following the delivery, the woman’s husband and accompanying family expressed their gratitude to the 108 ambulance staff. It’s worth noting that just a day earlier, in the Shillai area, 108 ambulance staff had successfully conducted a similar high-risk delivery en route, saving the mother and newborn despite the baby being in a breech position. These cases, reported over two consecutive days, demonstrate that the 108 ambulance service remains a lifeline for ordinary people in remote areas. Local people say that such workers are performing their duties with full dedication even with limited resources and in difficult circumstances, hence the government and the concerned departments should ensure timely facilities, security and proper respect to the 108 employees.
