हिमाचल प्रदेश की वादियों में रोमांच के शौकीन सैलानियों के लिए रविवार का दिन एक बड़ी अनहोनी का गवाह बनते-बनते रह गया। कुल्लू जिले की गड़सा घाटी में उड़ान भर रहे एक पैराग्लाइडर के साथ लैंडिंग के दौरान हादसा हो गया। हालांकि पायलट की सूझबूझ से पर्यटक को कोई चोट नहीं आई।जानकारी के अनुसार, गड़सा की पहाड़ियों से टेक-ऑफ के बाद पैराग्लाइडर की उड़ान सामान्य रही, लेकिन लैंडिंग के समय अचानक संतुलन बिगड़ गया। ग्लाइडर निर्धारित स्थान पर उतरने के बजाय पास के खेत में खड़े ऊंचे पेड़ की टहनियों में जा फंसा, जिससे मौके पर अफरा-तफरी मच गई।हादसे में पायलट नीरज (निवासी गड़सा) को हल्की चोटें आई हैं। प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, पायलट ने पूरी सतर्कता के साथ सैलानी को सुरक्षित रखने को प्राथमिकता दी।

घटना के तुरंत बाद स्थानीय ग्रामीणों ने बचाव कार्य शुरू कर दोनों को सुरक्षित नीचे उतारा। घायल पायलट को अस्पताल पहुंचाया गया, जहां उसकी हालत खतरे से बाहर बताई जा रही है। घटना की सूचना मिलते ही भुंतर थाना पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और जांच शुरू कर दी गई है। पुलिस यह पता लगाने में जुटी है कि हादसा मौसम में अचानक बदलाव, तकनीकी खराबी या मानवीय चूक के कारण हुआ। जिला पर्यटन विकास अधिकारी डॉ. रोहित शर्मा ने बताया कि मामले की गंभीरता से जांच की जा रही है और यदि सुरक्षा मानकों में किसी भी प्रकार की लापरवाही पाई गई तो संबंधित पक्ष के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी। प्रशासन ने संकेत दिए हैं कि आने वाले समय में पैराग्लाइडिंग स्थलों पर सुरक्षा ऑडिट और पायलट प्रशिक्षण को लेकर नए दिशा-निर्देश जारी किए जा सकते हैं।

Sunday almost turned into a major tragedy for adventure-seeking tourists in the valleys of Himachal Pradesh. A paraglider experienced an accident during landing in the Garsa Valley of Kullu district. However, thanks to the pilot’s quick thinking, the tourist escaped unharmed. According to reports, the paraglider’s flight was normal after taking off from the Garsa hills, but it suddenly lost balance during landing. Instead of landing at the designated spot, the glider got entangled in the branches of a tall tree in a nearby field, causing panic at the scene. The pilot, Neeraj (a resident of Garsa), sustained minor injuries in the accident. According to eyewitnesses, the pilot prioritized the safety of the tourist with utmost caution.

Immediately after the incident, local villagers launched a rescue operation and safely brought both individuals down. The injured pilot was taken to the hospital, where his condition is reported to be stable. Upon receiving information about the incident, the Bhuntar police arrived at the scene and have initiated an investigation. The police are trying to determine whether the accident was caused by a sudden change in weather, a technical malfunction, or human error. District Tourism Development Officer Dr. Rohit Sharma stated that the matter is being investigated thoroughly, and if any negligence in safety standards is found, strict action will be taken against the responsible parties. The administration has indicated that new guidelines regarding safety audits at paragliding sites and pilot training may be issued in the near future.
