हिमाचल प्रदेश के जिला सिरमौर के पांवटा साहिब में कल शाम एक हृदय विदारक घटना सामने आई। प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, यमुना पुल पर एक युवती काफी देर से संदिग्ध परिस्थितियों में देखी गई थी, जिसके बाद उसने अचानक उफनती नदी में छलांग लगा दी। मौके पर मौजूद स्थानीय लोगों ने तुरंत साहस दिखाते हुए नदी में प्रवेश किया और युवती को सुरक्षित बाहर निकालकर तुरंत अस्पताल पहुंचाया। हालांकि, अस्पताल में डॉक्टरों के अथक प्रयासों के बावजूद काजल की जान नहीं बचाई जा सकी और उपचार के दौरान उसने दम तोड़ दिया। मृतका की पहचान काजल पत्नी कुलदीप के रूप में हुई है, जो सिरमौर जिले की तहसील कमरऊ के पभार गांव की रहने वाली थी।

घटना की सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस टीम ने मौके पर पहुंचकर स्थिति का जायजा लिया और शव को अपने कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम की प्रक्रिया शुरू की। आज उसे अंतिम संस्कार के लिए परिजनों को सौंप दिया जाएगा। इस घटना से पूरे क्षेत्र और परिवार में शोक की लहर है। पुलिस अधीक्षक सिरमौर, निश्चित सिंह नेगी ने मामले की पुस्टि करते हुए बताया कि पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर गहन जांच शुरू कर दी है। पुलिस इस बात का पता लगाने की कोशिश कर रही है कि आखिर किन परिस्थितियों में युवती ने ऐसा आत्मघाती कदम उठाया। जांच के दौरान परिजनों और प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के बयान दर्ज किए जा रहे हैं ताकि इस घटना के पीछे के असल कारणों का स्पष्ट खुलासा हो सके।

A heartbreaking incident unfolded yesterday evening in Paonta Sahib, Sirmaur district, Himachal Pradesh. According to eyewitnesses, a young woman was seen behaving suspiciously on the Yamuna bridge for some time before suddenly jumping into the turbulent river. Local residents present at the scene immediately showed courage, entering the river and rescuing the woman, who was then rushed to the hospital. However, despite the tireless efforts of the doctors, Kajal could not be saved and succumbed to her injuries during treatment. The deceased has been identified as Kajal, wife of Kuldeep, a resident of Pabhar village in Kamrau tehsil of Sirmaur district.

Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team arrived at the scene, assessed the situation, and took custody of the body to begin the post-mortem examination. The body will be handed over to the family for the last rites today. The incident has sent a wave of grief throughout the area and the family. Superintendent of Police, Sirmaur, Nishit Singh Negi, confirmed the incident and stated that the police have registered a case and launched a thorough investigation. The police are trying to determine the circumstances under which the young woman took this drastic step.
